They do the same amount of work in the transfer as they do for any other release...so they offer this one at a lower price...? It would make sense if the company was Criterion who actually do work on the material. But for a company that only releases exactly what they are provided from the studio, not sure it is entirely commendable. I am however glad that they chose to release it than to just flat out reject a master because it isn't perfect and provide a warning. I personally think they should provide a short clip of all of their releases, just so people have a ball park idea of quality. It is very simple to do. |

No, the $25 price point is for the international titles, such as UK & Italian ones (I guess now the Japanese ones as well). As a matter of fact, the recently released Gran Bollito was at this price, too. Probably the cost to license the titles is cheaper from overseas, so the price is lower.

http://10kbullets.com/reviews/b/bull...t-time-bluray/ Transfer looks very good to my eyes. You have to remember the movie was almost entirely shot with zoom lenses, which gives the film an inherent softness. |

been talking about wanting Peyton Place on blu for what seems like years, and when it gets announced I miss it.
![]() ![]() oh well. very excited nonetheless, and I'm sure everyone else is happy they won't have to read any more of my posts where I mention wanting it to come out, or wondering when it's going to get announced, etc, etc. ![]() Also, very excited about a number of the other titles that were announced, especially How to Succeed in Business...., The Fortune Cookie, and Interiors. tons of great bd titles coming in the next few months. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Arkadin; 01-05-2017 at 08:52 PM. |

I finally got around to watching Moby Dick last night and the presentation was very good with what they had to work with. Sure, there were a lot of monochrome-ish shots but they just added to the eerie and foreboding atmosphere the movie has always imbued. The use of color (for example: St. Elmo's Fire) was quite effective and really added to the mystical quality of the film. Now to check out The 3 Worlds of Gulliver.
