That would have to mean that there are, roughly, 100 odd copies available from their Amazon storefront? I would really be surprised if there was another 500 (?) shipment on the way.
There's no way TT would let a title go under 500 without an announcement, given that the announcement spurs sales - especially when you're talking about them being weeks late on said announcement. Based on how things have been in the past, I would guess that The Big Heat has around 1300 copies remaining (but that's purely a guess).

Anyone heard any news on The Ox-Bow Incident? Rumors have been going around that it's a possible TT release.

No, I haven't heard anything but there is a German BD which will play on a Region A & B player if your interested. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-O...3997/#Overview

That would seem to be a solid assumption.

Coincidentally, I just finished rewatching Désirée tonight. I've listened to North's beautiful score isolated a couple of times, just pumping the sound into the next room without actually watching it. But for some reason, I was in the mood to see this movie again in its entirety. As ever, Brando was mesmerizing as Napoleon, but it's really Simmons' show as the titular character...she carries the thing heart, mind, and soul. Probably not for everyone, but I have a continuing shine for it.

Or for pure 70mm "don't-make-'em-like-that-anymore" fun, Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines.

A bit late but I ended up picking up Swamp Water and Leave Her to Heaven along with Rapture.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

Ok...maybe that's a bit harsh .

But, as far as I'm concerned, Blu-ray was custom made for movies like BYE BYE BIRDIE. When the play was adapted into a movie, several of the staged dance numbers were specifically choreographed to take advantage of the widescreen Panavision (info taken from the insert on the elderly DVD). It's splashy, bold, colorful, widescreen action.
Took a look at Picnic and Bye Bye Birdie and have put them on a list for a future purchase.

With the upcoming Arrow release of The Fury and Sony UK's upcoming release of Philadelphia (which may even be region free, given that most of Sony's releases are), it looks like TT's model may have to take a beating if folks (with multi-region capability) decide to wait out for other territory releases instead of assuming that no other release will occur elsewhere at least within the exclusivity window accorded to TT in the US. I have mixed feelings about this. While I dislike paying full retail for TT's mostly barebones releases, I also understand that their approach of upfront royalties to the rights holders allows for releases of films that would otherwise languish, so for them to die out on account of loss of business (because they would depend on the sales of some high-profile or cult movies to balance out the risks of their other titles) due to this factor may be a sad thing.
On the other hand I'm hoping something will happen about Fright Night soon.

All are great suggestions worth adding to your collection, and the three you picked are definitely first-rate (especially RAPTURE).

And as for "pure 70mm 'don't-make-'em-like-that-anymore' fun" it's worth noting that I just saw the CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG Blu-ray for an amazing price of $4.99 at Best Buy (and I thought I'd gotten it at a bargain for only $17.50 at Target back when it came out)! It's got spectacular picture and sound, as well as a few moderately interesting extras.

Wonder if this could possibly have an effect on how Sony is currently having many of their catalog titles put out on blu through TT.

Does anyone know when TT release of Oliver! is supposed to be? When will we be getting a new release schedule with updated titles ?

Titles I am hoping to see this year: Gilda (1946), The Lady From Shanghai (1947), His Girl Friday (1940)

If TT can get more than one Rita Hayworth title, I would hope they might consider releasing a box set...

I've already got TT's releases of PAL JOEY and COVER GIRL. I'm a huge Rita Hayworth fan and I'll buy ANYTHING with Rita.

But I would prefer not to have these things in a boxed set. I'm sure Twilight Time's business model and agreement with Sony doesn't allow room for cheap titles and with the existing Rita Hayworth releases going for $29.95 and $34.95 and can't imagine there would be a big market for boxed set that would cost $120.00 or so.

If Sony themselves want to do it...great.

So I just received LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN in the mail. The disc boots to the menu but there is no way to select from the menu/play the movie. Is there something I need to do with my player settings or is the disc faulty?

Is your firmware updated? I had the same problem trying to play TT discs on my region-free Insignia (with outdated firmware allowing me to play import discs) but they played fine on my updated Panasonic.

I'm still holding out for a Blu-ray of De Palma's OBSESSION, with the Bernard Herrmann score isolated on an audio track.

The UK release of Obsession is region-free and includes a documentary as well as early De Palma shorts.
