Hopefully you'll be able to get an order in then. Any chance you could order from your phone while you are out and about?

How do SAE and TCM compare for the delivered price for TT movies?

I've bought my TT only from SAE in the past.

It looks like TCM has the TT titles for $34.95, while SAE has them for $29.95. Even if you could get free shipping from TCM, SAE would still be cheaper. Plus the title has to last long enough to make it to TCM. And that can be hit or miss with these TT releases.

The question still remains. I don't think anyone, whether TT or SAE has said "we've sold all 3000 copies", only "we're sold out".

I think there's a difference between copies allotted to the filmmaker and copies being bought up by scalpers. If part of Holland's deal for particpating in extras was getting a certain number of copies of the final product, is that a bad thing?

I believe they keep a few copies for exchanges . Their print runs are limited but the label also sends out screeners...I do not believe the screeners count towards the 3,000 or 5,000 sale limit.

TCM prices all TT titles at $34.95, whether the MSRP at SAE is $34.95, $29.95, or $24.95. As previously said, even if you qualify for free shipping with TCM, it's not a good deal.

On the other hand, TCM occasionally has decent sales, and the TT titles are eligible. I've gotten some TTs for as little as $24.60 (plus shipping) there.

On the other other hand, TCM is a big pain in the butt to deal with. They often change the rules during their sales, and you end up not getting the deal you were expecting. They also don't allow you to cancel an order. Once you've ordered, the only thing you can do is refuse the package when the carrier delivers it.

I've always been under the impression that the TT title contract allows them to sell a certain amount but they can press extra copies for promotions and replacements and such. I may be wrong but have been following them and purchasing product from them for a few years now.
