Just let my oldest, who's going for his drivers permit next week, drive me around the block. Besides him taking a few years off my brakes, giving me a mild case of whiplash and adding more gray hairs, it went ok.

Ha,stressful times....My mum(God rest her soul)was taking lessons and after I took her shopping one day asked if she could drive my car the last half mile home.
I agreed and all was well until we approached the lay by where we were meant to park and she panicked and didn't find the brake
but the accelerator and ploughed my new car through the neighbours hedge and fence and parked it half way into their front garden.

It's funny now....I can assure you it wasn't then,ironically,because I had took her shopping she had bought me wax to polish the car....I needed new parts after that,not wax....ahh my mum,I miss her dearly.
