A couple of days ago, we took the grandkids and dog to the lake and saw a huge plume of smoke from a fire.

Yesterday, the local news said a raven hit a power conductor, fell to the ground on fire, started the forrest on fire and killed power to our city for 90 minutes.
Insane!

I will always buy plasma as long as they make it. Panasonic if you are going with plasma.

I can't make the LED switch yet. Light bleeding and just the picture in general i can't stand

I find it strange that plasma is not more popular. My brother owns a led and he swears by it, but the colours and the sharpness just dont seem as good.

The first LCD I had was Sony, then I got the viera a lot of things I have read online say that Samsung are top of the market now, so will see I suppose. The only brand I am quite opposed to buying is LG

Yeah, I wouldn't be thinking about a new one, but my screen has some scratches on, but other than that its fine for a 5 year old set now I think? My first LCD had dead pixels within a few months.

I'm only getting rid of 12-14 blus (out of 460-ish) that I don't want anymore. Either cheap blind buys I didn't care for or "okay" movies I bought that I didn't care for on second viewing and will never watch again.
