Arguing with Amazon customer service is amazing.

If I won't get the item in 2 days, don't take away the option to change my shipment speed to "no rush" so I can actually get that credit

which would be fine with me and I would have gone back and done it that way, but the website doesn't allow that
and your suggestion of canceling and reordering isn't an option either
as I said, it is only being fulfilled by third-part sellers now
so I can't even use Prime on the item

Me: exactly, so canceling the order did/does nothing for me
but I already canceled the order, so any complaint I have is mute at this point
Really, at this point it's just my dissatisfaction with and taking my money elsewhere vs. Amazon's reluctance to rectify the situation in some situation

A little insight: I ordered a shirt thinking I would get it in two days. I didn't look at the arrival date because my assumption was the item being Prime two-day shipping would mean its arrival within two days (3 days max). When choosing a shipment speed, I was also given the option to choose a no rush shipment speed that basically adds (I believe) a $6 credit to a Prime pantry or something. I've never used it, but whatever. Point is, if I knew I wasn't getting my item in two days I would have just chose this as it makes no sense to turn down the free credit, right?
Well, I realized the item wasn't coming anytime soon. Not till April. Whatever, but I'm not too thrilled about it and stressed my dissatisfaction to Amazon customer service. I was not able to go back and change the shipment speed to get the Prime pantry crap, and this guy told me to just cancel and reorder. Well, I can't do that either because the item is no longer offered by Prime. So what is Amazon willing to do to keep a Prime customer happy? Absolutely nothing, apparently.
I'm not complaining because I feel cheated or anything. I feel like it was a misunderstanding. What bothers me is the appalling customer service. If this were a brick and mortar store, they would be willing to work with me in some capacity. Amazon doesn't care because they have no reason to care (even if I take my business elsewhere).

I'm newer to gaming, so I only have a small handful of PS4 games. I finished Until Dawn late last year, and I'll admit it's one of the best times I've ever had playing a video game. Same for Alien Isolation. I can't play marathon style, as the constant moving around gives me terrible headaches, but I'm warming up to it. It usually takes me a month to finish one game. I usually play late after work. I crank the surround sound and have a good time!
