I am actually excited for a Timberwolves season for the first time since 2004, almost makes me wish I could afford the NBA package but another part of me knows I won't really have time to watch the games anyway once classes start.

Pretty excited to see where the Celtics go this year given we got a decently stacked team now. The Warriors (my mistress team) better bring their A-Game since they are on a road of redemption for their 3-1 meltdown and KD doing the same.

totally joking. I bet you were ready to let me have it weren't you I freaking hate typing something out and then somehow losing it and having to do it over but not wanting too. That's happened to me more than a few times. I've never heard of that movie. Just from the title...well...umm...well to be honest it sounds like crap so maybe the power going out is actually saving you from watching a crappy movie. I only said maybe though, perhaps the movie is good...

I hate required training at work, at least the modules I'm required to do so far. Mostly just time-consuming and pointless.

some of the required training definitely falls in that bucket, especially annual training over things like Information Security, employee guidelines, etc.

But sometimes they throw in some interesting ones.

The one I did yesterday over Creating an Inclusive Workplace was pretty cool. It was more or less an interactive lecture on unconscious bias. For example, it presented a scenario where you had to pick who to assign as the project manager for a new tech project. One option was a millennial with little experience, and the other was a much older employee that had had a lot of tech projects. It talked about the assumption that millennials are better with tech than older people.

It was actually interesting and engaging.
