Thanks BigDog. A bit browner and drier than I would have preferred so I'll have to get back out there in the spring after we've had some rain.

Right now I'm packing for my first trip since 2015. It's been over 3 years since I last saw my mom and stepdad so tomorrow after a quick 4-hour shift, I'll be off to Georgia, via Jacksonville, to see them. The last time I flew was back in 2015 when I was returning from Germany. Last domestic trip outside the state was to New York for the US Open tennis tournament in 2005. So I'm definitely due for a vacation

After I pack and clean up the apartment some more, I'll be watching Inception for tonight's feature presentation

Watching for feline intruders through our catflap on the motion sensitive camera in our conservatory whilst backing up my DVD/Blu-ray database and thinking if I have everything if I want to record a YouTube video tomorrow.

Oh, and taking advantage of the HMV "2 Blu-rays for £15" Sale I discovered...

At the airport in San Jose waiting to board to Atlanta. Have a little over an hour before the flight is scheduled to leave. I got a book for the flight/trip at Barnes&Noble but not sure if I’ll get around to reading it. It’s a travel book from Rick Steves’ right-hand man. Probably start it once I’m done making the rounds on MSN.

Fun fact; the last time I was in Atlanta was in 2013 for a layover coming back from Ireland. This was after I had spent time recovering from my car accident. I ended up getting a different flight home and I traded a layover in Paris for one in Atlanta. I felt robbed

Just got back from my trip to Georgia. As I've mentioned in previous posts, it was my first time seeing them in over three years. Had a great time but at 8:29pm, it's time for me to get to bed. Starting at 3am tomorrow

Definitely hoping that I don't go another three years before I see them again. Will post a few pics tomorrow.

Did my usual 4-hour work shift and then to my normal spot for clam chowder and breakfast. I brought my bike with me so probably going to find a trail and do some riding.

Watching YouTube vids of a guy shopping @ yard sales. What’s the point of sellers selling things for 25, 50 cents or a dollar? I’m not encouraging sellers to be greedy, but that is way too cheap.

Videos are fun to watch. I see a bunch of stuff that I would buy.

For starters, yard sales are typically for people just trying to unload "their" junk. For others, selling stuff like DVDs for .25 or .50 is just hoping they find more than one to buy, that quarter sale adds up faster than you'd think.



@civiclx Great pics man, I almost forgot how great the mountain bike trails were in California. If I had more time and there wasn't a pandemic going on when I was out there in 2020, I definitely would've looked into renting a mountain bike. I did some hiking instead. Griffith Observatory/Hollywood sign was one, also some in Big Bear Lake ( I think thats where I was, its been awhile). I didn't have enough time obviously since I was working, someday I'll make it back out there. Hope you enjoyed your recent trip to the east coast.

Hey everyone, it's been awhile. Hope everyone's doing well, I've been busy working and packing up this apartment for the next chapter in my life, getting ready to move to North Dakota as I work my way to the west coast to be closer to my daughter. Currently drinking an iced coffee and listening to some tunes, I gave up alcohol earlier this year, trying to get back into shape.

Hi Mike and welcome back. There are definitely a lot of great places to mountain bike around here. I don't know what we have for the extreme trails but I'll never be that good, so it doesn't really matter for me I was up in the mountains last month and I decided that I need an ATV or a dirt bike! Not as many trails for those here in the Bay Area though.
And thanks, I did have a great time on my trip and will post a few pics in the next day or two.

When will you be headed to North Dakota? Have you been there before?

And I just got done watching 30 Days Of Night. It's bed time but I got some new pedals for my bike and I've already taken the old ones off so if I want to take my bike to work tomorrow, I might need to put the new ones on tonight. Might be hard for me to get up any earlier than I need to if I decided to wait until morning.
