You are speaking for yourself and only yourself I hope. Lackluster for who , you ? Fine. Your lackluster is my blockbuster

Oh and please DO share with us what you would call a *More Impressive Slate of releases* Id love to know what titles you would call *impressive* ( and whether or not they are with studios who would license to them)

Keep in mind who we're talking about. Scream Factory. They provide us with the great little niche products that the bigger guys won't touch. Niche product, niche audience. It's nice that there's someone out there willing to do it. They aren't built on providing us with the newer blockbusters or big hits. It's great that they can acquire them once in a while and put their own stamp on it, but I personally like the fact that they're releasing all the other stuff even more. I remember enjoying the Sleepaway Camp movies (all 3) after seeing them on TV about 10yrs ago. Never thought I'd see them on bluray, so I think it's great news.

That sounds amazing! I knew most of the effects were originally practical, I've seen tests and they look so much better, but I didn't know was that this original cut still exists out there somewhere. The ending sound so much better as well! Man what I would do to see this cut of the film.

Default Babadook

Anyone know if Shout/Scream has mentioned anything about The Babadook? For some reason Amazon lists the Distributor as "Shout Factory" but I haven't heard anything at all...

I think Pin was among the New World / Lakeshore Entertainment films that are currently licensed to Image.

Haven't seen anything from Shout about it, but if they are releasing it, then I'm sure they will announce it soon.

Here's one out of left field, I'd like them to put out Locke & Key. I know it's a TV pilot, but damn it, I want to see it! I can't even find a bootleg copy to download yet it was shown at Comic Con awhile back.

I think Fox produced the pilot so I'm not sure of Scream's relationship with them.

You're doing something we call "idolization" in sociology circles. You're building them up so much as a fan that you then are super easy to disappoint. We got a Howling 2 announcement and Escape From NY details recently. More is coming, it's the dead of winter. Chillllllll ouuuuuttttttt.

I'm a big fan of both Mad Max and EFNY. I have had both on DVD and upgraded both to blu. As much as I'm glad they're both getting a decent release, I also think it's a shame that both require a better release. Isn't that what blu Ray was supposed to be, the best?
Also it's a little sad the cost to get and release these probably meant a couple of titles yet to be release on blu yet miss out

As a matter of fact, yes, I am speaking for myself. My use of the term "lackluster" in the context of Scream's upcoming releases is purely an understatement. Make no mistake.

Trust me, I understand that some people may feel that, for example, baloney is a culinary delight. I'm just not one of them. Everyone is entitled to an opinion I'm entitled to mine, and you're certainly entitled to yours. Don't criticize people for expressing one, ok, pal?

A big one I believe would be Baltasar Kormakur's Jar City, of which its only domestic release was a rental-only DVD release through Blockbuster (I probably have one of the few copies that was pressed) and has never hit Blu-ray anywhere.
Jar City would be awesome. Great movie. Great book. For those who haven't seen it, I believe it is still streaming on Netflix USA.
