Here’s your March Madness discount code! When you've finished shopping at shoutfactory.com, enter the following code to receive 15% off your entire order of $120 or more (excluding the Power Rangers Legacy Collection) and free standard shipping within the United States and Canada and a $20 Coupon you can use on future orders of $50 or more:

MM15047QDP39

This code is one-time use only and transferrable, so feel free to pass it to a friend via email or social media! And don’t forget to come back tomorrow for another shot. Happy shopping!
A little out of my price range, but that's not a bad deal for anyone that wants to spend some money. Last year, you were able to combine the coupons with discount codes, so the savings on that second order could be even more exceptional.

I've never ordered direct from Scream Factory before, so I decided to try my hand with some upcoming Collector's Editions.

I just placed a Scream Factory order for...

Class of 1984
Mad Max
Escape from New York

It's a little tougher these days for me to make the trip to the local Movie Stop to buy these on day one, since I'm working at a new office location, so I figured that it was time to do business directly with Scream at long last.

None of the non-Collector's Editions come with slipcovers as far as I know. Are you sure that pic you saw was an actual slip from Scream? I seriously doubt they'd do a slip for that title in particular, and it's not a C.E. either.

EDIT: I read your post too quickly and thought you were talking about "The Dark Half", not the new film "Dark Haul". Maybe they ARE doing slips for their new-film acquisitions like "Dark Haul", so sorry for the confusion.

Anybody interested in Nomads should watch it on Netflix before making it a blind buy. I watched it last night and boy, was it awful. The story didn't make any goddamn sense, the editing was jarring, and worst of all, it was boring. I was very disappointed.

I'd be interested to see if anybody really enjoys it. I went in with an open mind, and enjoy Pierce Brosnan and other John McTiernan films but I felt like this was just a waste of time.

I think Nomads is fantastic. I can sort of understand why it wouldn't work for people, because it's less concerned with narrative hand holding and more about creepy, oppressive atmosphere. Not everyone will warm to the movie's style.

It's also a movie that's improved to me on repeat viewings. When I rented this back in the late 80s as a kid, it didn't do much for me. When I caught it again several years later, it really blew me away and became a movie I hold in very high regard.

Couldn't be happier that SF is releasing this (and Jack's Back).

I'm considering doing the same for Mad Max and Escape from New York. Every time I order a film from Best Buy online or Amazon that has a slip, the slip arrives damaged. I just can't trust them. My copy of They Live is currently sitting on my shelf slipless because Best Buy shipped it with an extremely damaged slip, so bad that I just threw it in the trash.

I saw it a couple years ago and was amused enough during the watch, but didn't like it enough to want to own it or anything. It was just like a random okay TV show or something.

I am a fan of filmmakers like Lynch and Jodorowsky, I certainly don't need a hand-holding narrative to enjoy a movie. I felt like the film lacked atmosphere and it certainly wasn't creepy. The script dropped the ball with a concept that could have been interesting if the movie managed to keep the audience engaged, but I just didn't find it captivating.

Twilight Times exclusive window is usually three years. That means the earliest we would see another release for The Blob would be late 2017.

Nobody else can release it in Region 1. Twilight Time holds the exclusive rights for 3 years, at which point they might re-release it.

They also licensed it from Sony. Scream hasn't released any Sony titles in a long while so the best hope is TT to re-release it in 3 years (which I'd put at a good possibility) or a region free release elsewhere.
