I think Gun Woman could potentially be a game-changer, depending on how it sells. It's arguably the most explicit release in the SF catalog.

Now that would make for a nice Scream! Factory blu-ray release. Considering that MONSTER SQUAD got a re-release (and from a prior Loinsgate release), there is at least a chance...

I'd say pretty high. It appears Scream has some more money they could throw at Universal (judging by their new transfers of the Cellar Dweller, Catacombs, etc and the fact they're considering steelbooks). Throw enough money at them and Universal will give in.

Once again I'd rather they'd consider nice booklets instead of Steelbooks.

Got a good March Madness coupon so I preordered Robot Jox, Howling II, Ghost Town, and I, Madman.

I really don't know what to do about those double feature reissues. I guess I'll wait to hear some reviews. I haven't even finished the two 4 packs yet!

I really enjoy it when the booklets have ton of random information about the movie which isn't covered in the bonus features and even random production notes with behind the scenes images. Yeah sometimes essays are nice but I'd prefer it when they delve into other aspects of production and random fun stories including encounters.
Possibly even alternate sequel ideas too since that book the Greatest Movies/Science Fiction Movies Never Made goes into intricate detail about some movies which never went forth in full production and all the different actors including crew attached before everything was set.

Really? When did this happen?
I mentioned this about a year ago, in this thread, and Cliff immediately said that wasn't going to be happening.
While a SF steelbook would look amazing with the custom artwork they do, SF should really look into the possibility of using a Neo Case.
OMG, Neo cases, IMO, are the superior form of packaging out right now. Just look at the double dose of Gravity and Interstellar Neo Cases that released yesterday.
I would lose my mind to see a SF EFNY, or Mad Max, heck even Sleepaway Camp in a Neo Case!
Their business would skyrocket!

They did a poll on Facebook last week to see if people would interested in some of their older titles in steelbooks. Response was overly positive so it looks like it's going to happen.

As far as the new title announcement, I see people on Facebook throwing out Dawn of the Dead as a guess. While that would be incredible, I heard the number the rights holder was wanting for the license and it's beyond insane. It'd be crazy high number for anything, let alone the license to release a movie.

Damn! I really need to start using my FB account for stuff like this!
Thank you for all the info. This is very encouraging news, both about the packaging and Dawn of the Dead, no matter how slim a chance.

Yeah, I really don't think it'll be Dawn of the Dead. Even if Scream Factory did have it, that's an announcement that would likely be saved for one of their big convention appearances. For that same reason, I don't think it'll be Phantasm, either.

Phantasm and the sequels are coming at Comic Con. I can feel it.

(Hopefully as individual releases since most probably have II already).

I would be fine with a box set. They had released Halloween 2 and 3 individually before releasing the Halloween set. But whatever happens, I just want to see this series on blu-ray.

It could be Saul Bass's Phase IV. The missing ending was found two years ago and according to a member from this forum, it was recently restored in 2K.

I know it's with Paramount, but the DVD was released by Legend Films, meaning that Paramount don't give a rat ass about the movie. Mind you that this title is not among the titles leased to WB. It could be a one-off deal between Scream and Paramount.

I think it might be Dawn or Phantasm. They did announce Pumpkinhead and Prince of Darkness, both pretty big titles, and not at Comic Con. I bet by comic con they will have other big titles .. I wouldnt be surprised to see Bubba Ho Tep, The Fly and / or The Fly II , Killer Klowns at a comic con..
But thats just opinions and speculation... it means zilch really

I would definitely pick that up, I saw it on netflix a couple months ago and it was easily the best of the many man vs nature 70s flicks that I've seen.

They shouldn't bother with Phantasm if the end result is gonna be something like Phantasm II

I would only be interested in Scream Factory doing steelbook re-releases if it meant their prior/standard, non-steelbook, editions would get a greater discount.
