I'd wager an organ that that is certainly not going to happen.

I was in suspense all week for THIS???? I"ll be picking up ZERO of these titles. WOW, talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel as far as some of these titles are concerned. But I'm glad there are some fans out there that may want some of these. Guess I'll go and dream of what could have been. 'Night all.

Since I couldn't care less about the Scream titles announced, what else did Shout announce? I saw Freaks & Geeks, was that it?

Maybe there are some deals that couldn't get done in time, but if they couldn't bring even one truly solid announcement to Comic Con, it almost feels like the Scream Factory label is winding down to an extent if a re-release of ROTLD is the best thing they could bring to the table.

I don't get the disappointment in theses announcements. If you were expecting something big, then you set the bar too high - - not Scream Factory.

Everything truly jaw dropping is either with Lionsgate or Warner Bros. more or less, and since they're off limits I highly suggest you manage your expectations...

I'd be excited if it includes the original soundtrack (preferably both, though) that hasn't been on an American releases since one of the old MGM DVDs.

They could stick the incredible "More Brains" documentary on there, like they did on the UK bluray. I'd suggest just picking up the R1 DVD of that now though if you already have the MGM bluray, it's great. It's feature length, and the disc also has decently long featurettes about the making of parts 2 and 3.

I'm pretty much 0/10 as well but not for lack of trying. I've got budget priorities and Scream Factory doesn't catch my attention or warrant a prime place for now in said budget. Perhaps one day they'll pop up on my radar again in a big way but for now, eh.

They've been on my list with The Legacy and The Sentinel but because other studios like Criterion, Arrow, TT and Code Red are priority, I had to move them to "buy whenever I can get the chance" list with about 20 other things that I won't ever get around to.

Disappointing list, but I half expected that. I'll eventually get them all so I can't complain too much.

As for those wondering the point of Return of the Living Dead, many of us don't import so it will nice to finally have the original audio and the More Brains on Blu. Most importantly though, Mad Max was a huge seller for them and all they had to add was a new interview with Mel. This will do huge numbers for them with little effort on their part, why wouldn't they release it?

I have to admit, I'm really surprised there was no Carpenter titles in this announcement. I thought for sure they would hae picked up Village, with Collectors Editions of Big Trouble or The Thing being good possibilities as well.

Also disappointed that there was no Godzilla titles from Shout, although Freaks is a great show and will be an instant pickup!

It wasn't on any of the US DVD releases, either.

Edit: I may be mistaken.

Sorority House Massacre II
[Rec] 1 -4
Slither
Village of the Damned
Tales from the Hood
The Fly II
Slumber Party Massacre 2/3
etc.

All should be within reach for Scream Factory. Any/every one of these would have made a bigger splash then pretty much their entire 10 announced titles combined.

I have a feeling they still have some Price titles to announce as well, although with that lineup I don't know why they wouldn't have announce them tonight?

To the people on here complaining and whining, what were you expecting? Everybody else is happy, look at Scream Factory's Facebook, there's no negative comments and everybody is just over the moon with these announcements. I guess if you spend a lot of time on here you become a pessimist or something.

Will definitely buy The Return of the Living Dead, Death Becomes Her, Garbage Pail Kids, Troll/Troll 2, Ghost Story and The Guardian.

Hopefully Scream release these soon too

Trilogy of the Dead
Phantasm Collection
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
The Thing
Big Trouble in Little China
Village of the Damned
Out of all these, Village is the most likely with Killer Klowns and the Thing as longshots. Phantasm like I said earlier is with the director who wants Image to release them. Its a great list of titles however

Too old for the Comic Con crowd but they went with Blood and Lace at the convention, maybe they did not want to *squander* half the 10 with Price films.. just a guess nothing more or less

They also released Mad Max right before the new film.

So seeing as how you were about to faint with excitement a week ago with what your source was telling you... which of these ten announced titles got your pulse racing, because I don't see much here to warrant that kind of hype. Not necessarily bad titles in some regards, but not quite what you were hinting at.

Not calling you out but that's kind of on you for expecting that stuff. The rights issues and existing editions make a lot of those very hard to get or justify.

I was hoping they would announce some older IFC Midnight titles for updates. Stuff like Doghouse, Tormented, Dead Hooker In A Trunk but I am still happy with what we get. I like that Scream is finally having to go to the lower class stuff. We might get more stuff that other studios just don't wanna touch
