Anything kaiju (ESPECIALLY Godzilla movies), Jaws sequels, Evil Dead films (though I am pretty content with ED2 and ED, but I want the first movies DVD features ported over eventually), and maybe some Critters? Tremors is good too.
Though I can tell you I mainly want monster stuff. Other than Army of Darkness, their most recent release I want is Reptilicus.
Just nothing that interests me was announced this time.

Wait, really? Don't think that sits well with me...might have to hold off on buying The Fog from them if that's true.

If they do delete negative comments, I don't find that to be so nefarious, actually. It's not like a company's facebook page is an "open forum" where anyone can just come in and trash them. Their page, like any other company's, is basically just a marketing tool to help sell their business and rake in money - that's the only reason a company's facebook page exists. Deleting negative comments or feedback is simply good business damage control. It may p-o some customers who feel their comments are being censored, so that's why we come here instead.

I wouldn't mind them deleting negative comments if they at least took them constructively. It's pretty obvious they're more sticking fingers in their ears and going "lalalalala."

When companies do this it provides a false perspective to the customer. When this happens I'll think twice about whether I want to do business with that type of business. No business wants a negative image but customers also look at how a company handles that type of situation and if they adequately address valid complaints. If a company improves customers can look past old issues just as they can see through unwarranted complaints.

Customers shouldn't be looking to the company's facebook page for an accurate critical analysis anyway.

What's really terrible is the stories about Scream threatening review sites that give them bad reviews, pulling review copies and advertising. THAT is bad behavior to be punished by consumer action (though good luck with that).

This is such a perfect summation of Scream, I might scream. Bravo.

I'm also in the camp that thinks this is a pretty solid slate of announcements. Ghost Story and Nightmares are the most exciting for me. If Return of the Living Dead gets remastered (I'm apparently in the minority for thinking the MGM release looks lackluster), Scream's got my money there too. I've been curious about The Guardian for ages but never got around to seeing it, so that could be great. I'm not familiar with Blood and Lace, but that looks like my cup of tea.

The Guardian is very underrated. Fun flick with some great effects. It's certainly schlocky (evil trees!), but whatever.

If you're into sick 70's low-budget horror, it's a real gem. And it kind of features Freddy Krueger's first film appearance (if you've seen the film, you'll know what I'm getting at). I wonder if Wes Craven was somewhat inspired by this film.

This title is the real highlight of yesterday's announcements for me - a film that has never even had a VHS release. Gloria Grahame, Vic Tayback (Mel from "Alice"), and Melody Patterson in the "sickest PG film ever made" - Michael Weldon. I can't wait to retire my DVD-R from an airing on Cinemax.

At the Digital Bits Comic-Con panel on Thursday, one of the disc producers mentioned that even though they have HD masters now, Fox has no plans to release The X-Files on Blu-ray. That would be a great pickup for Scream/Shout if they could swing it.

Well Im with you on the Kaiju films but those are out of reach from Shout. I have no idea whats up with the Media Blasters titles unless they are back with Toho. They have from what I understand streaming rights to the Classic Media Godzilla movies..

Critters is with Warner who will release them all , they will not sublicense them out. I love monster movies too so I know how you feel. I am a big fan of the Harryhausen stuff, Planet of Dinosaurs, etc. I can you that a label does have a monster movie coming down the pike on blu ray. Its licensed and just waiting for the official announcement. Not sure when that will be though.
Any of the monster movies from Warner will get released by them such as this October... If Lionsgate has monster movies, they will keep them too unless they lose the rights.

Shout nabbed Streep, along with Kevin Kline and others, for their release of Sophie's Choice last year so I wouldn't rule out the possibility of her contributing. Shout has actually secured some solid A-list talent the last few years to take part in new features including, Mel Gibson, Liam Neeson, Alec Baldwin and Frances McDormand. Here's hoping that Death Becomes Her can be well stocked with such participation.

I don't believe the X-Files will ever come to blu ray unless the revival series is a super smash hit in ratings

I'll be happy with the movie looking good in widescreen finally. Hopefully they do it right.
Yep. Especially since I haven't yet opened my German WS copy that everybody says looks like doo-doo.
