No they bought the printed disc meaning the bluray itself from LG, , but the extras were made by Scream for the disc, and exclusive the the box set. You wont find them on the LG release. SF produced the extras to be added to the already made in HD disc

That doesn't sound right, but I don't know enough about disc production to dispute it.

My understanding is Miramax owns Halloween 6. They licensed it to Echo Bridge, then Shout, now Lionsgate. So no, as of right now, SF can't get Lionsgate titles.
Shout bought the printed disc of Halloween 6 - Part 6 was always with Miramax -Lionsgate.

I'd be very surprised if the upcoming Lionsgate release wasn't reauthored to some extent. At the bare minimum, you'd think the upcoming release would feature the Lionsgate logo animation. The box set version opens with logo animations for Anchor Bay, Shout! Factory and Scream Factory, but not Lionsgate.

Asking this question as I have no idea what it means. What do you mean by 'reauthored'?

Also, what will the aspect ratio be on the Lions Gate Blu-ray release? I've found it a bit confusing as to which aspect ratio of the theatrical and producer's cuts of Halloween 6 was the original and/or intended aspect ratio.

The IFC Midnight and Chiller titles do not have reverse artwork because the only art used is the original release art and there is no customized cover art.

Quote:
Optical disc authoring, including DVD and Blu-ray Disc authoring is the process of assembling source material—video, audio or other data—into the proper logical volume format to then be recorded ("burned") onto an optical disc (typically a compact disc or DVD).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optical_disc_authoring

Whenever material is added, removed or altered for a rerelease, the optical disc authoring process would need to be repeated to account for the changes made.

Good question. I thought the film was shot in 1.85 but wasn't there an issue with the AR from the box set? Also, the running time on the Amazon listing for the upcoming PC was listed as 1 hr 58 min. Has to be a typo.

I haven't seen the universal release, so i'm assuming its the same transfer, i'd give it 3.5/5, the only feature i watched was the house of horrors interview with sandi sissel director of photography. It was nice interview talking about the filming her 1st horror film, the sets & the house. I really wish they could have gotten Everett Mcgill on some new special features & commentary.

i finally got around to watching the Chilling Visions: 5 Senses blu the other day after it sitting there for a year, and is it just me, or was it all in the wrong order? especially taste, it should have been the last one because it had a reference to the other 4 in it... but it wasnt. and there were 2 pertinent references to "hear" but you didnt even know what they meant or why, until after you watched hear. it was kinda annoying. :-/ did it air in that order on chiller?

next weeks sale movies are
Nightbreed 17.99
Nightbreed limited edition 60.00
Candyman Farewell to the Flesh 14.99
The Dark Half 14.99
Phantom of the Paradise 17.99
Blacula/ Scream Blacula Scream 14.99
Animal 12.99

After two weeks with only one movie I didn't already have, now I get a week where I already own everything. I really really hope the last week has the Carrie double feature, Goulies double feature, Scarecrows, and From a Whisper to a Scream. I will be super bummed if after a month long sale I only come away with one movie, a t shirt, and one set of coasters.

Another week of nothing for me. I'm with you on the selection. There's been a few solid titles, but for the most part I either already own the best stuff, or whats offered I have very little interest in at the asking price. I've bought at least 2 titles from every prior sale, so this is a first for me not purchasing anything. I'd be interested in any of the following.

-Deadly Blessing
-Lifeforce
-Swamp Thing
-Cat People
-Slumber Party Massacre
-Ginger Snaps
-Dolls
-Pumpkinhead II
-From a Whisper to a Scream
-Stigmata
-Scarecrows
-Vincent Price Collection
-Vincent Price collection II

I would buy at least 4 of those if the prices were better.
