As far as I know, the only extra TT has produced for any Sony title are the isolated scores (not surprising since TT is a venture of the people behind Film Score Monthly). All the other extras were previously existing or created by Sony.

Well, that's not true. The commentary track for The Blob is newly produced. They also created few new extras for the Fright Night 30th Anniversary edition.

Just a hunch.

Btw, Shout Factory does have a deal in place with Sony, but it doesn't apply to classic horror and sci-fi titles and thrillers. This was recently cleared up by Scream Factory, over at their FB page, when someone asked them about The Tingler. So, assuming that by classic they meant really old (like 50s-60s stuff), then the Candyman and Screamers could be a possibilities for them..?

I believe they have been quite honest and said the problem with Sony is that they won't allow Shout to make new features, and Shout don't want to release movies without new extras (for sales reasons, one assumes). Twilight Time has no such concerns, due to their limited edition business model.

They did license Sony's MST3K titles. Ill be curious to see what they did get. If they had The Tingler it would have been in the Price III set .. Time will tell to see what they did get
Id like to see that post on their FB page if you can share

But, as noted above, Sony allowed TT to create the new extras for The Blob and Fright Night (30th Anniv. Edition), so that statement doesn't hold water anymore.

Aren't those extras all stuff that was made before though? I can't remember exactly, but I feel like the features on those titles are all commentaries done before for free distribution or recorded panels, which might not count. The ban might just be on newly produced documentary style extras.

I'm just spit-balling though, who knows.

Those FN features were pre-created before the release was even known. Some were free downloads when the first TT disc came out and the rest were online too I think or in Tom Holland's private collection. In fact I'm sure he is most likely the only reason why TT was permitted to use them since it clearly seems he was involved with 30th release in some way.

I wouldn't know. They weren't included on the DVD, though.

Yeah, that seems plausible...sadly.

I doubt there will be a replacement disc for that. We're lucky that there's going to be one for the theatrical cut.

Maybe its for movies like Happy Birthday to Me and When A Stranger calls ? Sony and Mill Creek do have some horror titles that Shout would be interested in.. we'll see what develops

Doesn't seem like anything will develop. Seems Sony is very wise when it comes to lending out their property.

They've released plenty of discs without extras, though.

I imagine they want to make it as complete as possible. That means that if they can't do extras, extras cannot be done.

Shout does have some interest in some titles..Sony is wise indeed, we really wont know anything until Shout announces titles..they might be interested in some deeper catalog titles. Maybe a small deal is possible

What would your top 5 unreleased Sony titles be? Can't be licensed to another company already.
-Candyman
-976-EVIL
-Piranha II: The Spawning
-Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (beautiful theatrical poster)
-The Tingler

What demonknight says but The Tingler is not on the table. Maybe some more obscure stuff with Sony. Candyman, Piranha II would be the non obscure..but who knows.

We know you have info that we don't, and The Tingler isn't with Mill Creek because it would've been in their William Castle DVD collection, so that leaves Twilight Time.
