Did you go to shout factories website and look the title up? If so did you see them list extras or not yet?

Hint: if they don't have the extras listed yet then no one knows for sure since it isn't official. Could have had your answer in a couple minutes.

No it was an MOD DVDr - Id be amazed if WB decided to release it on blu-ray, I guess it's possible since they gave it enough thought to do a MOD DVDr release..

Any chance of Scream releasing April Fool's Day or Happy Birthday To Me?

I think Lionsgate has it via StudioCanal. More likely to be a Vestron release, IMO.

April Fool's Day would require a licensing agreement with Paramount.

Happy Birthday to Me is a Sony title and is already licensed to Mill Creek for US distribution. I would highly recommend importing the region free UK release while it's still available. It's about $20.00 with s/h to import from Amazon.co.uk.

Is the UK release a substantial upgrade over the double feature here in the states? I like the idea of a stand alone release but unless it has enough substance over what we already have I don't know that it's worth the double dip for me. Any comments are appreciated.

I know the encode is 20 mb/s for the US release vs 35 for the U.K. release plus a booklet and a hysteria continues commentary. I would like to know how much of an improvement the higher bitrate encode actually yields.

I did not own the Mill Creek and cannot directly compare, but the Indicator release looks pretty nice and all of Indicator's releases have extremely good encodes similar to Arrow. However the disc is pretty bare bones, the Hysteria Continues guys are not really my cup of tea and I don't think there's anything on the disc except the disco opening. The booklet looks nice, thick glossy paper, but I haven't read it yet. Christine and Body Double had amazing booklets though.

If you're a big slasher collector and can combine shipping I think it's worth the $15 it cost me, but it will depend on the person.

It's funny, because I just got happy birthday to me, a few days ago, picture looked good, booklet is real nice, similar to Arrow's. Vary pleased with Indicator. Will get Christine and Body Double soon.

I wouldn't buy it expecting a massive PQ upgrade. It's better encoded, but it's the same HD-master, and the encoding on the US release didn't particularly bother me.

The big draw for me was that it had the original mono soundtrack, not just a 5.1 based on the original audio.

I recently read Thomas Tryon's 1973 novel, Harvest Home, and I loved it.

I'm now hoping that Scream Factory can release the 1978 television miniseries movie, The Dark Secret of Harvest Home, which is based on the Tryon novel.

The cast is pretty stellar. Bette Davis plays Widow Fortune, while Rosanna Arquette and David Ackroyd play the couple who move to the town.

Make it happen, Scream Factory.
