I realize it could be worse but that's not my blu ray purchasing mentality. A glitch is a glitch to me and to hell with if I'm going to be attacked by other Scream Factory fans but this crap happens repeatedly with them and Shout! Factory and I'm just at my boiling point with it *insert Michael Douglas gif from "Falling Down" now*. Just depends on who it bothers and it definitely bothers me. The problem is its so minor it most likely won't be corrected. If it happened during one of the special features instead like with Tales from the Hood, not so much, but when its in the movie it bugs the hell out of me and I definitely would've noticed it and wouldn't be able to unnotice it. I am a huge Scream and Shout! Factory fan which is one of the reasons it bugs me so much.

From what I've read so far its the same master used on the UK release with no remaster. If that is the case its curious as to how this got on the Scream Factory release when they just had to plop one transfer onto another disc (for lack of better terminology).

Here's the message. I'm guessing some SF haters and fanboys got into it and someone crossed the line.

Sorry to have to bring this up guys but we have to prompted by an unfortunate incident that happened last night on our page and also us noticing a recent uptick in the behavior we're about to discuss...

As fans of the films we put out ourselves, we understand your passion and excitement for them. On the flip side, we also understand your criticism and even your disappointment if a release of ours isn't tailored or executed in a particular way that may satisfy you wholly.

Its fine to express it all, but not when it comes to attacking each other or using vulgarity here on our on page.

Going forward, we will be implementing a zero tolerance policy for that kind of behavior and if we see it, the perpetrator(s) will be banned. It's perfectly fine to disagree and argue with other followers here, but there's really no justification for personal slurs and extreme swearing.

We also ask for your help. We do not monitor our page 24/7. If you see an exchange like this happening please let us know through a PM and we will look into. Or, if it's really extreme, report it to Facebook.

Thanks for hearing us out, now let's get back to the regularly scheduled program of blu-ray goodness! Have a good weekend and let's try to be a little kinder to each other.

I'm assuming that people like Painiac, who get a little too obsessive about their love for perpetually sub-par Scream Factory releases, went crazy with their F-bombs and curse words and they just couldn't handle all the verbal altercations anymore.

It could just as easily have been over-exuberant fanboys who were responsible. The quoted post doesn't specify. The Scream FB page is full of trolls from both sides.

I agree and, furthermore, one frame IS something to complain about.

I have a couple of BDs and at least one DVD that have one frame glitches.

Yeah..it's instantaneous. And if you blink, you'll miss it. But, if you don't blink, a one frame glitch often appears as an odd flash on the screen and it's very distracting. A one frame glitch on one BD turned out to be a flash of color bars that many people noticed (and VCI ridiculed fans for noticing their mistake...hey, good eyes, you caught our mistake on one frame). On another disc, a one frame glitch had a frame going negative (light and dark reversing). Again, there was a noticeable flash of something amiss. On a third disc, a one frame glitch consisted of a frame with one image in the top and and image from another scene in the bottom (don't know how they managed that). It was just one frame and it was noticeable.

I realize that not everybody pays close attention when they watch a Blu-ray. They won't see a one-frame glitch because maybe they do more blinking than watching.

But a one frame glitch is still a glitch and it is visible for those of of us unfortunate to pay strict attention when we watch movies.

For those who don't care, that's fine. Everybody has a level of tolerance and it doesn't bother me that a lot of people can overlook a lapse like this. But it's still a lapse and it will bother some of us. I'm glad this problem was mentioned because it's information that some of need and others are free to ignore.

Your response is appreciated. There's a gif on the thread for Serial Mom that was just posted by another member and it looks to be a fairly annoying issue for me and that is why I've decided to pass on Scream Factory's release and go with the UK release even if I miss some special features. Its an ongoing problem with Scream Factory and judging by their recent post on Facebook I frankly didn't get the impression that they are all that concerned with putting an end to this lack of QC when they claim they are huge film fans themselves. Its very disheartening. That is just my perspective on it though.

I personally don't understand why this stuff doesn't bother other collectors. I'd prefer not to have to blink at the moment it happens so I don't notice it. Again, that's just me though. Its very concerning because one of my most highly anticipated releases "Trespass" is coming out soon and I'm scared to death that something will be wrong with it.

I guess I just don't like movies of this type--- there are 3 of them that came out around the same time--- Shocker, Destroyer (Lyle Alzado, Anthony Perkins), and The Horror Show (Lance Henriksen).

All of them I remembered being better 20+ years ago when I originally saw them.... now..... they were all mediocre at best. All 3 of the antagonists in these movies gave corny, hammy performances that made me lose interest in the proceedings pretty quickly....

Fair enough. If the other release is the same master then I might have made the same decision. I just know for these labels a replacement can wipe out their entire profit from a release of a niche movie like this, so for their health I kind of dislike it when a super minor issue (from my perspective) is seen as reason for replacement. My super minor issue might be someone else's distracting flaw though, so I hear ya.

There were people saying Army of Darkness was fine on release, and let me assure you I didn't agree with them. I just don't think one frame is a thing, but... everyone's different.

This just highlights why they should expend a bit more effort to ensure their releases don't have these type of issues in the first place.

My friend, you have a right to be pissed. Not because you're a fan but rather as a consumer who should be troubled by Scream's track record of poor quality control. What is it with these guys? It's one blu ray after another that has some problem of some sort with it. Seriously...
