Forbidden World is fantastic. DEAD SPACE is boring beyond belief. An HD upgrade won't help that turd.

I'd like to see the 1996 HUMANOIDS remake get an uncut HD release. It's a shame Shout hasn't done more Lethal Ladies. WOMAN HUNT would be cool as would upgrades to FIRECRACKER and THE ARENA.

I get that, but the days when I truly got excited about a Scream release are long gone. I'm picky on top of it so rare when I get excited about a release anyway. I cut my collection down to titles I truly can say I could watch it over and over and I have a connection with. Makes the collection tbat much more special and I spend less time picking something out lol. I understand some of these might appeal to otbers though so enjoy.

Unless Scream Factory has a new deal in the works with say a Paramount or Sony, the future is not looking that bright for them. I do believe they still have one big ace in the hole for 2018 in a collector's edition of Fright Night Part 2. Regardless, the company has done some great things for retro horror fans, and we should all be grateful the line ever existed.

I still have the Shout Select line to look forward to though. There is much left to be explored at Universal and MGM that doesn't necessarily involve horror.

Roger Corman's original Humanoids from the Deep is a true cinematic gem. I revisit it whenever life is getting me down and I want to be cheered up. The end, when the monsters emerge from the water and go nom nom nom on all of the townspeople at the beach festival, is for the ages.

I really would like to see Shout/Scream Factory unearth more of the Roger Corman Cult Classics titles on Blu-ray. The existing Blu-rays that Shout put out years ago are still wonderful, but there were many more titles that eluded high definition release.

The Hitcher (2007)
Terror Tract

Those seem like no brainers since they don't have blu ray releases.

I'll agree wholeheartedly on humanoids from the deep. One of the best blind buys ever. I expected to love it, and even so it blew me away. I was smiling all throughout the runtime

Personally I'm a bit surprised that Scream Factory hasn't worked a deal with Full Moon to distribute collectors editions of some of their released films. I'd more than likely throw down some cash for improved editions of The Pit and The Pendulum, Castle Freak, Tourist Trap, among others.

I said 'bigger', as in compared to these titles. If we look at the MGM catalogue, I would say that CE's of Hannibal, Amityville Horror (remake) and Last House on the Left (the only three remaining) would fit that bill, while there are some MGM titles without a DVD release that I would consider a bigger deal than the four announced (Enemy Territory, Screamtime, Terror on Tour, Home Sweet Home, and a number of other 80s titles). On top of that, we have the Universal deal to consider. New CE's are highly unlikely given what's left, but there are of course plentiful opportunities for double-dips. Then there are some new non-CE candidates which would probably be more high-profile than the four announced titles - Terror Tract, No Escape, Cry_Wolf, Altered. In terms of Universal titles, I just hope they got Dark Intruder and Let's Kill Uncle as part of their most recent deal, as I'd be surprised if they ever went back in for these.

They might even surprise us with a CE resulting from an independent deal. I still think Alligator might appear this year.

Yes! Great suggestions for future titles. I hope they're all on Shout's radar.

The Hitcher II: I've Been Waiting would fit well as a double feature with The Hitcher remake. Kinda like Scream Factory's Carrie 2-pack.

Cry_Wolf would make for an excellent Collector's Edition; I really hope that one is on the horizon soon, it's so good! Same goes for Terror Tract.

But perhaps my biggest want from the Universal catalogue right now has to be When a Stranger Calls... Back! It's the best film from that trilogy and just a damn good movie in general. As far as I'm concerned, that sequence where the killer blends into the walls is ICONIC. I can't believe they haven't released it yet, to be honest.

Yes... the 70's is a crazy deep decade for film, period. It's astonishing. I remember years ago when I was getting pretty deep into the horror genre, I was starting to think that I was scraping the bottom of the barrel. Wrong! I had no idea. I was just skimming the surface.

I don't go out of my way to have a blu-ray collection that's well-balanced. It's not totally representative of what I watch all the time. That said, the statistics do tell a story: 41.5% of my collection is 70's. 37.6% is from the 80's.

My guess is that it's now with Lionsgate, however I'm curious as to whether or not Wolf Creek would be something Scream Factory could pick up. I've yet to actually watch the film as I'd been waiting on a Region A friendly High Def release so I can't speak to whether it's a good fit or not, however given the praise it's received it seems like something that would be a decent fit for the brand. It also fits with what I said years ago in that Scream Factory should be looking at more import horror to keep the label fresh. Martyrs, Inside, Frontieres, Wolf Creek, [REC] quadrilogy, I could go on and on.

I love Scream Factory and I want them to continue, but if they don't strike a deal with a new company soon, I feel they won't be around too much longer.

I would love to see Dead Silence get a collectors edition as well even though it had a basic Blu-ray release.
