Yeah and it's not even a true Scream Factory Collectors edition. Very disappointed if this is their only announcement.

Still waiting for Childs Play 2 & 3.

C'mon just give me the Childs Play trilogy on Scream. Is that too much to ask for Shout?

It being downgraded could be a condition of the apparent Sony terms right (no newly created extras)? I wonder if this might mean a deal for other Sony titles was agreed.

Disappointing that this is no longer a CE; it would've been new blood for the CE line, which has felt stale with the modern releases of Behind the Mask, the Strangers, Drag Me to Hell, etc, which are good releases, but not of the variety I get excited for with the CE line of films. Hopefully there are Warner titles with CE potential in the works, or maybe even Sony titles, though that seems unlikely.

Delighted for PIRANHA II and glad that it won't be a CE.

Things are expensive enough without paying for extras that appeal to few people.

I want more movies on BD. I have little interest in paying for extras and I have zero intention of double dipping on other titles that are already on Blu.

Concerning Piranha II, all I care about is that we get the film uncut. If there are 2 versions (US & International) then include both. I don't want a watered-down US theatrical cut. Including the trailer would be icing on the cake.

Good point; the supplemental features are not nearly as attractive as having both versions of the film would be.

Regarding Piranha II being downgraded from a CE, I wonder if ‘light extras’ simply means ‘no extras.’ That would be disappointing to me because I’d love to hear those involved talk more about this particular film.

They stated that Extra's would be announced at a later time so that would imply something extra. Time will tell I suppose.

Eh, they always say that upon announcement but then sometimes, when they announce the final specs, it’s just a trailer or perhaps a commentary (which I’m sure tons of people love, but I’ve personally never been big on commentary tracks). But yes, we shall see.

Did anyone else see "Man's Best Friend" back in the day? It was directed by the dude who wrote Child's Play so it seems like Scream would be able to get a hold of it.

Collector's Edition, Schmollector's Edition. I'm glad that Piranha II: The Spawning is receiving a standard edition release.

In response to the post above mine, I'd also love to see a Scream release of Man's Best Friend.

Maybe at SDCC they might announce CEs of CP 2 and 3 with 2K restorations and extras galore even CP 2 extended TV cut as a bonus disc.

It probably means trailers, tv spots & maybe a still gallery.

Reading about how expensive those slipcovers are got me worried that something might happen to the ones I have and they will end up being hard to replace. How do you guys “safeguard “ your collectible slipcovers?
