Scream does release stinkers....

Robocop 3 comes to mind right away.

2001 Maniacs should be in Scream though.

At least in all four titles mentioned the studio tried to release the movies in theaters instead of banishing it to Direct to DVD.

Okay I can understand with Drive-Thru but don't you think 2001 Maniacs deserves one? Pretty good Direct to DVD movie.

If you're referring to Tim Sullivan's 2001 Maniacs, I like it a lot and think its a good horror film. It has a lot of insane, creative energy; some great gore and kills, and even some good characters. Does it need to come to Scream Factory? It doesn't really fit in with their line, and has a perfectly good Blu-ray release on the market. The sequel, which is nowhere near as good as the first one, has a decent UK release on Blu-ray. I would not complain if Vestron released it in a double feature with the sequel, but I doubt it's any kind of priority. The Vestron line itself is not even much of a priority.

Shout should do Best of the Best on BD badly.

YES that would be fantastic and something else, maybe in a CE.

I have no idea why anyone would request 2001 Maniacs when there's nothing wrong with Lionsgate's release.

What about Duel getting a Scream release? I know it just got the blu ray treatment a few years ago but I feel like it deserves a Collectors Edition.

Aw man... I thought Poltergeist III was great. I definitely liked it better than II

That would be awesome and imagine if they announced it at the comic con?

Well i thought 3 sucked and was a disappointment, even the remake was bad. part 2 was fun and enjoyable but can't strike the same lightning in a bottle as the original.

It's all relative. I had it pegged as the worst title to get the CE treatment. Then Robocop III came along. And then Teen Wolf II...

Poltergeist III and Robocop III are so bad I'm surprised that they didn't release Poltergeist II/III and Robocop II/III as double features.

It might be interesting to see how the sales of these titles compared.

I'm sure there are some completists who had to buy the vastly sub-par third installments of these franchises, but I suspect many picked up the IIs and skipped the IIIs. Especially at Scream's prices.

I also enjoy both Poltergeist sequels. Even Robocop III isn't that bad, as it's still a Robocop film. If I was pressed to site one film as the most undeserving of a Scream Factory CE, I'd definitely go with Teen Wolf Too. Doesn't make a lot of sense. I'm guessing they had to use what they had available to them at the time. Maybe they never would've released that had they known they were getting a Sony and Warner deal. Then again, I have no insight into their acquisitions process. But I probably wouldn't have utilized Teen Wolf Too as a CE (even though I did buy it ).

Poltergeist III is better than the second one, IMO.

I like this. We always list our favorite films on the label, how about the five/ten worst?

Just looking at "catalog" films that I've actually seen, I'd say:

1 - Teen Wolf Too
2 - The Beast of Hollow Mountain
3 - Message From Space
4 - The Velvet Vampire
5 - Robocop III
