Unless you meant you'd like to see Scream Factory tackle the title...

About the disdain for smaller work I wasn't talking about Blair in particular but the attitude in general. I'd hardly consider Exorcist II smaller work, especially compared to the rest of the filmography.
I don't know....I'd rather have honest appraisals from participants that may or may not reflect my opinion of the project than a series of softball, "gee everything is/was great" puff pieces. Exorcist II has a certain reputation, and whether it's deserved or not, to completely ignore the less positive thoughts about the production feels like more of a misstep than including them. But fans interact with this stuff in different ways, so I can appreciate how you or others might have a different take on things.

Anchor Bay’s 2013 Blu-ray for Mandy Lane only has a commentary. There’s absolutely room for a collector’s edition with more extras.

I quess Blair never put it together that the reason Boorman had chosen Lullaby of Broadway for her to dance to was an off shoot to Footlight Parade where that musical number was nightmare. Much like the dream-like moments in THE HERETIC where Blair's character is linked with the demon.
I've spoken with Boorman about the Heretic in past and he commented on how I was probably the only one who "got" his film - and it is for this reason I have worked on this BD release.

It is true that Blair was the one who held up production at the time of shooting with her being late to the set, and taking up time in make-up. In the years since, Richard Burton has gotten most of the bad press stating his drinking was a problem - not true. He was on time, professional and gave most of the credit to Blair.

I really enjoyed the special features off Tales From The Crypt Bordello Of Blood for this very reason. It sounded like such an unpleasant experience between all the actors not getting along and Dennis Miller being well... Dennis Miller.

I still love the movie for what it is but its interesting to hear about how the actors felt at the time when they were filming it!

Crazy to see that Return of the Living Dead 2 is now back up to $34.69 on Amazon.ca before release when my pre order price got as low as $26.08.

Im a little scared to see what they list Creepshow, Trick R Treat and House on Haunted Hill as once the listings go up. Excorcist II and TCM:TNG are still around 25 bucks though so if you're thinking about getting those on Amazon.ca now is the time!

Yes I really hope that they don't follow suit with .com and start hiking up the prices !
There seems to be a lot going on behind the scenes with Scream at the moment none of which is for the best.

Ditto for me regarding STRAIGHT-JACKET (and THE TINGLER, as well).

Definitely, but when you're giving an interview about a film that's going to be watched by people who paid something close to 30 bucks to get it as a Special Edition and would love to hear your stories, even if it's not a work you're immensely proud of, there are more subtle ways to say it. It's just the way I think. I know some people will get the film and laugh as she trashes it because "whatever, the film sucks anyway, what would you expect". I just think some people out there actually like this film and wouldn't like to see it that way

I'm just curious who actually pays "close to 30 bucks" for these special editions?

Don't you mean the people that wait a year, order it for $15, and then ask if it still comes with a slip?

I took advantage of the 20% sale during comic con & spend close to $150 & the Critters collection is the most expensive one I purchase. Bought like 7 movies overall from the site.

Maybe. But wouldn't you also think that anyone who is THAT into a movie like EXORCIST II is already fully aware of the overall critical reception of the movie, as well as major cast/crew members' feelings on the film before they watch an interview?

SF prices in Canada are ridiculous. I’m hoping for a big sale this Fall.

I see posts from people here talking about ordering direct from SF when there’s not a sale going on. Their prices are usually around $25 plus shipping (plus tax in some states) for CEs.

More power to them, but this peasnant has to wait for sales.
