When you push it as being "FREE" or a "bonus" item, but in reality, you charge 5 USD MORE for the orders that come with said item....then that's not a bonus. That's not a "FREE" poster. That's a 5 dollar poster you were not given the option to decline.

I agree they are decent quality, and I like most of the art work of the items I actually care about enough to pre-order through them. BUT, I only have so much wall space. I don't like any of them enough to replace any of the more expensive pieces I've bought and framed. I would much rather keep my 5 bucks than have the tube taking up closet space until I find a friend who wants it.

Well to be fair when I ordered Return of the Living Dead part II they were already sold out of the posters & was only charged $24.93 with the shipping cost. So if the poster is sold out then they don’t charge that extra $5. Which is the fair & right thing to do. For those crying about the $4 not being honored for sales though, are you really that clueless or just like to complain?

This leaves just Saturday the 14th and The Craft from the SDCC announcements. I wouldn't mind if they saved these two until February and rounded out the month with 2-3 surprises, but I could see at least one of them joining the January line-up, probably Saturday the 14th.

I really think they're just gonna wipe the slate and announce the last two... two collectors editions and it's only the 1st? Yea bet you anything they're cleaning deck...

In that case with February's line-up they might do what they did last year and announce all the titles on Halloween.

Yes lol I mean idk.. but two announcements already on the first... means theres more for January.. most definitely the last two and maybe throw a surprise in there... anyway.. bet you anything valentine will be announced for February.. just makes too much sense..

Right, but it's not a "FREE" poster when you are actually charging 5 dollars more for the movie at the time. You're still paying a premium for the poster, they just roll it into the cost of the movie.

Your own story with ROTLD2 proves my point. And in your own words, the poster was sold out so "they don't charge that extra $5". Key words there are "extra $5".
The "Fair and Right" thing to do would be to either change the wording/listing of the product to reflect the more expensive "poster edition" (like they've done with the few "figure" editions so far), OR to actually charge the "standard price" from the get go, and include the poster.

Simply labeling something "free", then finding other was to charge for it, does not actually make it free. It's rather shifty marketing.

I'm sure I'll find someone to take my HOHH and TRT posters. I'm not going to cancel and re-order my previous pre-orders just to avoid the posters either. BUT, don't tell me (or any customers) that you are giving them something "for free" when you're really just finding creative ways to charge them for it.

I see your point in that case & nothing is ever free anymore, gotta cover expenses somehow right? Plus those are my own words really not aimed towards Shout or even a criticism. I do agree with you though.

That being said when is The Craft date getting announced?

Interesting that Scream 'announced' (or rather scheduled) 3 titles today, not sure what the rush is, but I hope they still have a couple more titles planned for January. Perhaps they'll leave The Craft until February.

I'm surprised Shout/Scream hasn't released it yet.

I love the movie, mainly for Bernard Herrmann's score and for Genevieve Bujold and John Lithgow.

I kind of like the Blu-ray cover, myself. It's certainly different from the usual poster art for this film. Maybe there will be a reversible cover?

If Scream is charging extra for the poster, there should be an option to pre-order without it.
And I also find it ironic that Scream held back their new releases from most retailers to ostensibly drive pre-orders to their site and capitalize on their two week early shipping, only to run into production problems and not be able to deliver on their early shipping promise.

Warner Has the rights to ALONE IN THE DARK, so it's possible.
