On the topic of pricing, I looked through my emails, and here’s what I paid for Scream releases in the past at Deep Discount, during their 15% off sales (obviously, a few of these aren’t from Scream). Pretty eye opening compared to today.

My House on Haunted Hill just shipped from amazon.ca. Scheduled to be here tomorrow! Looking forward to revisiting this one.
On another note, watched my old sony copy of Urban Legend last night. As someone who grew up with this generation of horror movies, I'm almost always a big fan. For some reason this one didn't hold up for me. I was kind of bored with it for some reason. |

Still a few items on the Shocktober Sale list I'm tempted by, but for now, I stuck to 3 movies, and then 1 that's NOT on sale, but that I used my 4 dollar coupon code on.
Snagged DOG SOLDIERS, THE FUNHOUSE, LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE, and SESSION 9. SESSION 9 shipped yesterday evening. TRT...yadda yadda still. CREEPSHOW is "processing", and HALLOWEEN 3 steelbook is also now in "Processing" and my card has been charged. |

Why the need to make such a condescending and hyperbolic response?
That’s the reality of the situation. As long as Shout/Scream Factory keep putting out releases that people want to buy, people are going to buy them. People can complain online as much as they want but anyone out there merely wanting to watch a film that they release is going to pick it up if they want it bad enough. I mean they are absolutely killing it this year with their releases. Pumping out 4K remasters and special editions and films that people have been pining for on Blu in the first place… I don’t think there’s any denying that they’re doing wonderful things there. Over the years they’ve provided me with great copies of Army of Darkness, Behind the Mask, Brainscan, Child’s Play, Day of the Dead, House on Haunted Hill, The Howling, The Lawnmower Man, Lifeforce, Night of the Demons, Pumpkinhead, Return of the Living Dead Part II (I imported the first), all three Sleepaway Camps, Slither, The Strangers, They Live, the Trolls movies and The Thing. And more is on the way. And if I ever had a problem, their customer service has always been on the ball. Much faster and convenient than dealing with any of the major studios has been They mostly put a lot of love and care in their releases and provides a good amount of supplements. If people don’t want to pay the extra money… then don’t. If people do… I’m not sure why that inherently makes them an undercover shill. Maybe some of us just really appreciate their output and like to buy the movies we like. I mean, what else is this hobby for? |

Vice versa for me. House on Haunted Hill is coming today from Amazon.ca but Trick 'r Treat is delayed until they receive it on their end. As much as I like HOHH, ive been hyping up Trick 'r Treat to my friends who haven't seen it and told them we could watch it this week!

I personally feel like Funhouse is a Great horror film. It's very atmospheric and light on blood so if your looking for gore etc you wont probably like it.

I blind bought it years back & honestly regretted it. It's really slow in the beginning only picking up almost near the end.

I got both that I preordered from amazon today via UPS.
House of the haunted hill. - slip not wrapped onto blu Trick r treat - slip wrapped onto blu with a sticker about new interviews. Funhouse - I love this movie. I just watched it two nights ago again actually. It’s slower but moody. Creepy and fun. If you like stuff like Hell night, terror train etc then you’ll like it. |
