I really hope the wait to find out if Scream has a deal with Paramount or not isn't that long. The Dead Zone would be my first pick for a release.

I can't recall if it's been mentioned already recently but it's worth mentioning that (worst case scenario) if it turns out that there's NOT a deal with Paramount titles, there is a really good Via Vision region free release for The Dead Zone for anyone who doesn't already know and wants to own it on blu. Great special features as well.

Any interviews with Walken? Would love to hear his thoughts on the film and the experience of making the film.

Unfortunately not. There is a great 4 part documentary on the making of it though. I believe it's 4 parts. Could be 3.

That's odd, I know Warner was distributing Paramount DVD for a bit, but I don't remember them slapping their Warner Archive header on Paramount stuff.

For what it's worth Amazon shows "Paramount" as the studio on that release.

What with the new series having released earlier this year,

Any chance any of the labels might do a new release (old transfer or new) of THE TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE??? Sadly missed out on the last release, but, not wanting to fork over 125 bucks for it.

If there is a Paramount deal, I wouldn't be surprised to see Pet Sematary 2 pop up...

And as far as "punishing" for leaked info, that's precisely what Jim Wynorski claims happened with Hard to Die/Sorority House Massacre 2. But at this point, we should all be aware that Wynorski likes to spin a tale or two, so that has to be taken with a grain of salt.

Yeah, on top of his history, I believe Scream's response of "That was his own mockup cover art. Not ours."

Especially at this point...even with their mistakes, that seems like a lot of money between licensing, putting together any sort of extras and packaging, and then just....never releasing it because it got leaked.

If they really do have a deal with paramount, (which isnt surprising) then besides the obvious wants like April Fools Day and My Bloody Valentine... I'd really want...

Cool World
Superstar
Night at the Roxbury
Sleepy Hollow
Pretty in Pink
Graveyard Shift
Addams Family Values

In regards to new Friday extras i seem to recall it was only parts 4 to 8 where they went looking for the uncut footage for the special editions dvds that were released years back. I don't think they ever looked for part 2 and 3. I'm almost certain i read that in few different places. Uncut part 2 footage is the "Holy Grail" for me and that and part 3 footage would be a huge selling point.

Part VII is the only one where the footage has been confirmed destroyed. Some footage for The Final Chapter and Jason Takes Manhattan was found and used in the special features but not reinserted back into the films. Parts 2, 3, 5 and 6 are lost. But, just like the uncut version of Don't Look Now was for many years, it could simply be mislabeled somewhere in the vault.

But I agree with TripleHBK, I would buy a Friday set from Scream, but Nightmare is the one that truly needs a boxset upgrade on par with the Platinum Series DVD set.

Was it Daniel Farrands who did the search for the uncut footage? i'm almost certain i read in an interview later that that person only searched from 4 onwards as they were the ones that got the new extras treatment.. I'm sure of it. As for part 7, thats my hope too, just mislabeled somewhere..

There’s an absolute treasure trove of Paramount titles locked away that could and should be issued on Blu-Ray, in every genre imaginable. If I bothered making a wish list, we’d be here for hours.

If there's a Paramount deal, I'll reiterate my wish for the George Pal films - War of the Worlds, When Worlds Collide and Conquest of Space. I've heard the new 4K War of the Worlds on iTunes looks great.

The Craft has finally dropped in price on Amazon, but it still isn't selling. That should be a strong message.

If you check Hamilton Book next week with their latest updates you might be able to get it for even cheaper. I believe it will be $16.95

So Random thought... The Stand was recently announced for release overseas on Blu Ray, if a Paramount deal is in place, I wonder if this could/would end up on the Scream Factory line. It seems like something Paramount would choose to release themselves but it does carry with it a good amount of name recognition and would be a fun release for Scream Factory.

If there is, in fact, a deal with Paramount, then I can almost guarantee that My Bloody Valentine will be one of the titles.

Trying to not get my hopes up about a Paramount deal, but I would love to see The Golden Child from Shout Select. Can't believe even the 2017(!) DVD still used the same old 4x3 version as the original DVD. Ridiculous.
