I know that's the favorite conspiracy theory, but I doubt a major company would delay a release just to spite someone. Even if that someone is the high and mighty Kim Newman.

I'm sure that's how SF makes money. People see some gaudy new cover art and jump for joy because they can now buy the same movie in the same resolution for the millionth time. It's not 2007 anymore bring on the goddamn UHD's.

UHD's? That would be fine, but there's still a lot of classic horror that's never made it to Blu, yet. I'm not talking about really obscure niche titles (which oddly enough is what Scream has been focusing on lately - but mainstream older titles like they used to put out their first year or so.

Doesn't Scream have the rights to The Terminator? I thought I hared that some time ago. If they do, I hope they will put the original mono mix on the new release.

It's rumored that Scream will release it, but MGM has the rights.

Don't most UHDs sold also have BD-50s with them too? So, I don't see what the major problem is? I mean I'm not in a hurry but more power to those who want them.

Especially considering both BDs & DVDs sell more then UHD. These small labels aren’t going to invest in something that won’t sell as much.

Off topic-I got the Space;1999 snow globe yesterday. People complain about ugly cover art. I will complain about an ugly sculpture in a glitter globe. But, the shipping boxes were extra sturdy and well packed!! LOL!

I'd rather have more obscure titles too. Anything is better than constant re-releases.

Nobody really begs for them but people sure do beg for SF to release a bunch of shit that's already on blu-ray just so they can drop $25 bucks for some interviews. You'll be upgrading to UHD one day anyway. Plus most of them come with blu-ray's too.
