The longer I wait until it’s shipped the more I worry about my copy of Cat People having a slipcover.

Fixed that for ya, unless you were being facetious. Either way, I think the slipcovers for Cat People are long gone from SF, but I could be wrong, hopefully.

Description
"Outrageous, audacious and endearing ... Alan Rudolph's Casablanca" – Los Angeles Times

In the fictional and hypnotic Rain City, ex-cop Hawk (Kris Kristofferson) has just been released from prison after serving hard time for killing a man. Meanwhile, a young, down-on-his-luck father, Coop (Keith Carradine), and his radiant, innocent wife, Georgia (Lori Singer), head toward the city with their new baby in search of a new life. Littered with eccentric gangsters and thugs, Rain City almost serves as a side street to human evolution. At the center of it all is Wanda's – a dive diner run by Hawk's ex (Geneviève Bujold) – where the characters' lives will intersect, changing them forever. Written and directed by Alan Rudolph, Trouble In Mind is set somewhere in the future and the past of countless classic film noirs, creating a completely realized neo-noir masterpiece.

Description
Rupert Everett, Colin Firth, and Cary Elwes star in a moving coming-of-age tale.

In a shabby apartment in Moscow, an American journalist asks a retired spy why he betrayed his country and defected to the USSR fifty years ago. The answers take them back to 1932, where in the closed atmosphere of a British boys' school, young Guy Bennett (Rupert Everett, Shakespeare In Love) realizes that his attraction to his classmates is more than a passing phase.

There, in an environment permeated by unquenched desire and utter denial in the wake of a gay classmate's suicide, Bennett falls desperately in love with fellow student James Harcourt (Cary Elwes, The Crush) ... and is introduced to Marxism by his most loyal friend, Tommy (Colin Firth, Kingsman: The Secret Service).

Yeah I want a slip. Hopefully you are wrong and I get one with a slip. It didn’t seem to be a movie a lot of people have been picking up the last few months.

I assume we're about a week away from Mifune's leaks of Scream/Shouts next lineup.

I wonder if we're going to see Assault of Precinct 13 soon, feel like that's been in the works forever.

Jeez, where does the time go? It feels like yesterday that the Chucky sequels were announced.

A lot of times I'm lucky, and I stumble upon movies that I connect the dots that it might be coming from SF, but I haven't had any luck this time. I've been searching up and down Bullmoose's site for stuff. They also changed their site's design, so that searching sequentially is way more tedious. I usually go through their product page numbers in sequential order, but now when a page doesn't have a product it redirects to a 404 page, so I have to go back to the previous one, try another product number, rinse and repeat.. (not sure if they did that because of me lol). Thee's thousands and thousands of pages though, so it really is a needle in a haystack kind of thing. It's possible the leaks are somewhere on their site now, unless they cracked down on it, and aren't adding them till they're announced.

Obscure movies, but would anyone say Trouble in Mind is better than Love at Large? I quite liked the off kilter atmosphere of the latter, but felt it lacked a little oomph too rank up there for me.

I'll be getting Trouble in Mind, but going to wait for the August titles to go up first in case I can add it something on there.

For the love all things horror, I'm hoping either August, September, or October gives us A Simple Plan finally.

I definitely plan to scoop up Trouble in Mind and Another Country but, I think I'll hold off another day or so just to see if any Scream exclusives get added this month too.

Another possibility for a Shout exclusive is Roger Corman's THE TERROR (1963). Steve Haberman has mentioned recording an audio commentary track for an upcoming Blu-ray release of it, and Haberman has contributed to other Shout discs. I'm speculating about Shout being the label.

I just got The Film Detective's blu-ray release of it earlier this year! It definitely deserves a better release than it has though. I would bet that it looks better in the Targets blu-rays (Criterion and BFI) than its own current ones.

My 4K sale package come today!

Shout! really didn't come to play when they packaged these. The box was huge. Everything came in perfect shape (pun unintended) and none of the discs had scratches. I wasn't expecting the vinyl and poster set to have the Scream Factory paper in it, hence why I used it as the backdrop for the photo. I'm definitely not throwing it away!
