Blu-ray labels usually get a discount on manufacturing costs when produced in higher quantities (say 2,000 units is less expensive per unit than 1,000 units ordered). So perhaps this lower print run (1,620 units) is a new negotiation on cost/unit because Shout doesn't expect to sell 2,000 units on these titles.

I only saw someone mention this in passing, but the code SHOUT10 gives you a 10% off discount at checkout. Works on pre-orders as well. Great for their store exclusives, which rarely drop. No idea how long its been around, or when it expires. Credit to Grethiwha.

Lots of Fox stuff I went ahead and got the Race With The Devil/Dirty Mary Crazy Larry double feature. One I've had in the cart and removed from the cart many times in the past. All the others I was super interested in I already have. I highly recommend their release of Big Trouble in Little China (which as of right now has special features exclusive to its disc) and Vice Squad, among others.

Damn I thought Vice Squad might've gotten a 4K since they scanned the OG Elements in 4K. Then again, I heard that one didn't sell very well so that may have nixed those potential plans.

Thankfully, I recently snagged a slipped copy of Big Trouble in Little China so I'm good.

Yeah damn, might have to grab a few of those. Vice Squad, The Manitou and The Omen collection have been on my list for a while.

I also highly recommend picking up Superstition if you're a fan of slashers, and The Entity is really well done.

Big Trouble in Little China is a no-brainer if anyone hasn't picked that up already. Uses the Arrow encode and is absolutely stacked with extras.

I doubt it. Looks like Shout is losing the rights to almost all of their Fox titles. They got these titles before Disney took over, and now that Disney is not licensing to anyone outside of Criterion, the future of these titles is not looking good on disc unless Disney themselves releases them.

It would be pretty depressing if this is the end of the line for it, it just goes out of print and never gets a 4K. We've seen surprising things happen though, so who knows what the future holds.

I have purchased so many editions of Big Trouble already. I have shown this to all my kids as they grew up and they were all John Carpenter fans after this single movie. This is one that will make the leap to 4K somehow. It's too BIG to stay LITTLE forever!!!
