As the producer of the bonus materials for this release, I can tell you that RR did not wish to be involved on-camera or provide an audio commentary for this film. His offices did approve the content of the features... which all I can say about that.

That’s weird for Robert Rodriguez do deny this movie is one of his best films �� why didn’t he do new interviews is confusing knowing he did a lot for the Mexico ���� trilogy I guess he’s not to happy about this movie he’s going to regret it

So Shout replied to an Instagram post about these statements and are claiming that they are false.

From user earle117 via a Reddit comment on a post discussing the statements;

Scream Factory says this is false:

“Daniel Griffith of Ballyhoo Pictures had no contact with Robert Rodriguez or his Producer during the making of our 4K UHD release of “The Faculty.” He worked exclusively and solely with the Shout! producer of this title. At no point did Robert Rodriguez or his Producer ever state to us that they ‘did not want to be involved on-camera or provide an audio commentary for this film.’ In fact, they were both involved throughout the creation process of this release and Shout! is very grateful for their contributions.”

How would Shout know if Griffith had contact with RR? He could have contacted him on his own.

Wow, Ballyhoo is a respectable company that works with various labels, so it's rather strange to call out Griffith like this, and I don't really see any reason they would just make something like this up ..Very curious to see if Griffith responds to this.

Gosh I had a feeling Bring it On was coming I kept seeing ads for it streaming on Peacock so freaking much it was very annoying as they kept advertising this film on streaming before multiple YouTube videos I was watching last night. Why were Peacock advertising this film so much it’s weird.

I’m more excited for Shout’s March stuff than literally anything Arrow Video announced today
