When it comes to a title like "Prison" even getting a blu-ray release, we should be grateful we're getting any effort put into it all. I'll always remember this flick for Bob Shaye saying he hired Renny Harlin for "Nightmare on Elm St. 4" based on his work on this movie.

Hey guys, since Jeff Zornow is behind the "Prison" artwork, I figured I'd share with you the sketch Zornow did of me as a zombie back in 2009. This guy is a genius! Enjoy!

Three I'd love to see released under Scream Factory are:
Creepshow
Creepshow 2
Maximum Overdrive

Unfortunately, "Creepshow" more than likely won't happen since it's with Warner Bros. Although, Michael Felscher of Red Shirt Pictures (who are preparing the special features for all the Scream Factory titles) has expressed interest in independently releasing his special features that he shot for the UK Blu-ray of "Creepshow" with possible newly shot footage. That would be a great compromise to just get those features out in the US.

We need a kickass release of John Carpenters Halloween. Both regular and tv edit, deleted scenes, etc.

It's the "Halloween" 35th anniversary next year. I'm pretty confident that Anchor Bay will be rereleasing "Halloween", "Halloween 4", and "Halloween 5". They suddenly dropped the special features for the H4 release, I'd say that's the most obvious sign of a re-release. They were just using 2 and 3 from Scream Factory to make money off their own sequels, knowing people would want to complete their collection now. They made no effort to remaster the films really, so I think they'll be new editions of all 3 by this time next year. And I won't be the only one double dipping.

Overall, I think Zornow did a good job, he's one hell of an artist and I hope he is used for future Scream Factory titles.
+1

I mostly like the Prison cover and its design, but something looks off about Viggo's face.

CLIFF!

I totally don't want to see "The Town that Dreaded Sundown" get smacked into a double feature with "Evictors".

Its a good movie on its own, and never had a proper release! It shouldn't be disgraced that way. It needs its own release! Do what you wish with any of the others! I know really want it individually! I'd buy "Evictors" seperately too!

I completely agree with you! 'Town that Dreaded Sundown' is an amzing proto-docudrama-slasher. It has elements of everything, even comedy. I didn't like "Evictors" though. But TTDS needs its own release - cuz I wouldn't buy it as a double feature, and I'd happilly spend 25$ a piece on them, not 25$ for 2 and packaging that means the amazing TTDS artwork would be tarnished. I love the poster for that. I hope it gets the Collector's Edition treatment!!...

Here is Anchor Bay's email. Click on horror on the page.

Ask them to release "Silent Nigh, Deadly Night" on BD, and if you want, even the second one. Believe it or not, this actually works with most companies. Just take one minuite out of you day.

Maybe that'll motivate Anchor Bay to release the remaining Phantasms (assuming Shout! hasn't secretly snagged the rights ) next year on Blu-Ray.

Maybe they want to seem competitive to Shout!

Really right, I still emailed them like the kid posted. I'm not a gambling girl, but I doubt this is "official". I hope and pray it is, but I think they were just confused with the double feature dvd coming DEC 4TH.

If this is the outcome every month after a Shout! Announcement though, I'm fine with that. Maybe Anchor Bat is just trying to "win" back their horror fans?

That news was bogus and shouldn't have been reported as fact. As you can see, it has been deleted from the website.

Yeah, that news was meant for the DVD re-release of the 2-pack.
