I think Prison is a cool flick, I refer to it as the best Empire film, not made by Stuart Gordon.

So the new "Silent Night" blu-ray artwork was released today. It looks okay, it doesn't remind me of the original in any way. "Silent Nigh, Deadly Night" deserves a blu-ray so bad.

I really like that Prison artwork - Scream is that rare company who actually creates original cover art that isn't tacky, ugly, and/or unfaithful to the film itself. Arrow, take note!

I hope you guys can release 'The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane' on Blu-ray. The MGM DVD looks fantastic and is actually the 'uncut' European version even though it says PG.

Yeah, the Arrow covers are so sleazy and tacky sometimes. They always manage to include nude women in some way or another or something completely unrelated to the film, e.g: The Funhouse cover.

Love that movie. It's so underrated and creepy, it definitely stands out. I'm also hoping they release "Audrey Rose", a strange little movie of reincarnation.

All the covers with the half naked people were all by Rick Melton, and I'm fairly certain he's gone from Arrow covers now

Hey Cliff, is the "Prison" artwork finalized? I actually dig the design, I just feel like there's something lacking with Viggo's appearance on it. Maybe it's something as simple as his placement on the image, I can't quite put my finger on it. Overall, I think Zornow did a good job, he's one hell of an artist and I hope he is used for future Scream Factory titles.

I'd love to get "Audrey Rose" its a really good, eerie movie. The book was fantastic. Its compared to "Rosemary's Baby" a lot.

To me, the artwork looks cheesy, with Viggo's giant mug being the most obvious offender. And the way the title is presented over the skull in red letters seems like a misstep, as well.



Notice the original poster has Prison in dark letters, under the skull. It's clearly better this way:

It'll probably be reversible like the rest of them.

I think the new cover looks great. It's hard to complain about a neglected gem like Prison hitting blu-ray!

I think what's important about these Scream Factory covers is that they are attempting to try something different each time out which you have to admire and respect. Each Collector's Edition is getting a unique spin of their poster art, some for the better and some for the worse. I like the fact that Scream Factory isn't afraid to not play it safe by utilizing one artist for several films no matter how amazing that artists' abilities may be. I'm sure they are listening to fans' feedback on each of the designs but at the end of the day, they'll stick to their guns if they truly believe in a design which I respect above all. Personally, for all the customized artwork that has appeared I've loved all of it with only minor exceptions for "Phantasm II" as I'm not a huge fan of that art style and "Prison" simply because of Viggo's placement on the cover. Like I said, minor gripes in the scheme of things but these cover arts are quickly becoming one of the things I anticipate most seeing from Scream Factory with each new announcement.
