Incredible Melting Man for me.
I can see the Charles Pierce films being paired
I can see Schizoid, the Godsend and Xray as a triple feature for some reason
Scanners 2 & 3 will be a double feature no doubt...
I know we dont know what titles are going HD or SD, but I suspect the MOD of Melting Man & the DVD of Vampire Lovers will go HD

I have a feeling the triple feature will be SD,

But Scanners 2&3 will be HD, as the trilogy is coming out on Blu in the UK next year

Agreed. Although Hospital Massacre could be stand alone and a double feature could be Schizoid & Godsend. I watched these 2 last week and Im getting them for sure. I guess the market dictates if they will be singles or double or even triple features. I know a lot of them will need to be paired together

Terrorvision and The Video Dead work well as a double feature I think. Town and The Evictors also have the obvious Charles B. Pierce link. Scanners 2 and 3 are a no-brainer.

But I would hope that Scream don't just group Godsend, Schizo and X-Ray into a triple feature, and The Horror Show and The Vagrant into a double-feature. Remember, just because they're announced together doesn't mean they will do this.

If X-Ray (Hospital Massacre) is to be part of a bundle, it should be bundled with at least one other slasher-type film; possibly Schizo but definitely not The Godsend. I think To All A Goodnight, Home Sweet Home and New Year's Evil would work well together, with an obviously holiday/slasher theme. The Vagrant would work well with another horror comedy, perhaps Mom as I said.

No, Im not pairing them because they were announced together although that is could happen - Im certain about the Scanners being paired and the Pierce films...it is possible however.
I know Melting Man and Vampire Lovers wont be paired together

As I said I'm sure you're right about certain titles but when you said "I can see Schizoid, the Godsend and Xray as a triple feature for some reason", I can't think of any reason other than that they were announced all at once.

I doubt the pairing of "Scanners II" and "Scanners III", because "Halloween II" and "Halloween III" were released as individuals, and the "Scanners" franchise is well known. I think they would sell well enough on their own.

Just because they have 1 double feature planned, doesn't mean that everything is going to be paired off.

Am I the only one who thinks Motel Hell will be announced on the 16th??

No but Scream did refer to having a number of double and triple features planned, so I don't think Video Dead/Terrorvision will be the only such release.

I dont know why I picked those 3 for a triple feature, sure they could all be paired together or 2 of the 3..maybe XRay could do well enough on its own..since these 3 were announced together, it would not surprise me if they were paired together...they all seem to fit the same mold ..anyway these are just hunches or thoughts..
As far Scanners 2 & 3 being paired, again I think they will...Halloween 2 & 3 are popular enough to be released on their own by far, and Scanners, despite being well known isnt quite as mainstream as Halloween. The first Scanners for sure would be on its own. Just another hunch and if Im wrong , Im wrong

I'd be extremely surprised if Scanners 2 and 3 were not released as a double-bill, but I guess we'll wait and see. I'm not sure if the following is big enough for these to be released individually and sell well.

"The Town that Dreaded Sundown" also my favorite of the announcements so far...

When asked about info on Coming Soon releases, Scream Factory had this to say on FB:

- "Patience please :-) More Prison details next week. From Beyond and Phantasm II details are a couple of months away. Town that Dreaded and Evictors is further. As soon as we have a confirmation on more concrete details we'll let everyone know here ASAP."

That gives a pretty good timeframe for some of the upcoming releases:

• February: Prison / The Video Dead / Terrorvison
• March: Phantasm II / From Beyond...
• April: The Town that Dreaded Sundown / The Evictors...

Well, they are all Cannon films. It could be a Cannon triple feature.

I'm not really a gambling girl, but I highly doubt the triple feature of those flicks. I can't see them together.

Maybe "X Ray" will be single, and then a double feature of "Schizoid" and "The Godsend". But even those two together is unlikely.

And its safe to say that EVERY double or triple, or god forbid quadruple features, will be non-collectors editions. So I also can't see "Scanners II/III" together...

I think they'll combine Scanners II and III into a double feature since they wouldn't sell well enough on their own. They're straight to video movies.

I disagree also. I think "Scanners 2" and "Scanners 3" could sell good on their own. But I would prefer a double feature on this, I just doubt it will come. Its only gonna be single releases most likely.
I don't like double features, but I do think if they're releated films, such as 2 sequels, its not so bad. But "The Town that Dreaded Sundown" and "The Evictors" would be horrid together.

I'm hoping for these films on the 16th:

• "The Fog"
• "Motel Hell"
• "Hello Mary-Lou: Prom Night II"
• "The Burning"
• "To All a Good Night"
• "New Years Evil"
• "Phantom of the Opera" (Robert Englund)
• "The Howling"
• "Howling 2"

And maybe even "Frogs".

Anything added would just be icing on the cake, but those 7 or 8 titles are the ones I hope and pray are coming out on Blu-Ray!!!

Yup, it would be highly unlikely for two relatively obscure straight-to-video sequels to receive anything other than a double-feature release together.

That doesn't mean they won't include special features though - we know TerrorVision will have a doc and/or a commentary and Death Valley will have a commentary. Have extras been confirmed or nixed yet for The Nest?

If TerrorVision couldn't get its own release, then I can't see many of these other titles getting their own releases. Scanners II/III is a no brainer, The Town that Dreaded Sundown/The Evictors is a no brainer, and these others (Hospital Massacre, The Godsend, Schizoid, The Vagrant, The Horror Show--they will undoubtedly be part of double/triple features).

Halloween II and Halloween III were the launch titles for the Scream Factory line and are still two of the highest-grossing films in the entire Scream Factory lineup announced thus far and the releases had a ton of special features.

The Scanners sequels are pretty much begging to be a double feature. They were direct to video films that were released within a year of each other and shared the same producer, writer and director. I have my doubts that Scream Factory will be able to do much in the way of special features for each film to warrant them being released separately, and both are right around 100 minutes, so they'll probably fit on a single BD-50 without significant compression issues.

I seriously doubt that TerrorVision / The Video Dead is going to be the only double feature forthcoming. The Corman Collection featured a number of double, triple and even quadruple features. There will be exceptions (From Beyond, The Nest, Prison, etc.), but a lot of the films in this second phase of the announcements have been of the box office flop / direct to video variety.
