A shame Twilight Time has THE OTHER.

It's a great piece of 70s genre filmmaking and I was hoping SF might've gotten it and given it the exposure it deserves.

It's a film that has somewhat fallen off the radar and would definitely benefit from widespread rediscovery.

TT won't give it that.

The "Friday the 13th" franchise is officially back with Paramount! At least for the next 5 years where they have the rights to develop new movies in the franchise. Details still remain a little fuzzy on whether this means Paramount has the original films back in their possession or not. Either way, this latest twist might mean some hope for Cliff to do his "Paramount Years" box set after all. Let's hope Scream Factory gives it another stab (no pun intended... well maybe a little )

They do have it, although that's technically not a Warner title. That one is part of a library Warner had licensed (I forget the name, but it's the same one that Stagecoach was a part of), and the rights had lapsed. Criterion is licensing that library now.

Just want to express how happy I am with my first order directly from Shout Factory. Ordered Criterions from Amazon on Sunday with Prime shipping, the same day I placed an order from Shout (all Scream titles). Both the Amazon AND the Shout titles arrived today. Extremely pleased with the fast shipping from Shout. Will not hesitate to order from them again.

I'd be first in line to pre-order, but who owns the rights now? The New Line disc is OOP.

If it was a New Line title doesn't that mean Warner has it now which means not a chance in hell. If we are lucky they may throw it out in oct. as a barebones disc.

Okay, if it's WB then forget it. Not that anyone was expecting it anyway.

Doesn't look like this will affect the upcoming boxset. It sounds as if they just have the rights to newer films, just like when New Line was able to make newer films at the time.

So does that mean Criterion has the other Hitchcock movies that were with Warner like I,Confess, The Wrong Man, Suspicion , etc ?

They have shot down Dolls (for now)
In the Mouth of Madness is with New Line or Warner...
A title I wish New Line didn't have that I would suggest to Scream Factory otherwise
The Hidden ! This is a great flick !

Ditto. I placed an order for Terror Train, The Funhouse and Deadly Blessing on Sunday night and received Terror Train and The Funhouse today. Deadly Blessing shipped from a different warehouse so I should have it tomorrow or Friday. Very fast shipping from Shout! Factory.
