Good to see some more hopefuls awaiting a Scream Factory John Carpenter's The Thing! We can all hope! It seems to be a good blu-ray release year for JC. Another couple movies I'd love to see them do are Dawn of the Dead (1978) with all the previous extras and versions of the film, The 'burbs and Death Becomes Her. I know I'm stretching on the Dawn release but its on every horror fans top 10 lists and it would sell a lot of units!

Just wanted to pop in and thank cmac and everyone and Scream/Shout for their hard work. The quality, presentation and extras are all first-rate. I am eagerly awaiting all of their releases. Horror doesn't always get much love, so I'm grateful that many of my favorites have gotten (or will get) the deluxe treatment.

Thanks again guys and keep up the awesome work!!

I'd love any Carpenter films they can get their hands on. The 'burbs would be a day 1 buy. I'd be very willing to rewatch Death Becomes Her too.

I'd highly recommend it, it took me a few years to even find the DVD, and this is coming from someone who worked at a used movie and video game store haha. It's an excellent little gem full of black humour and amazing special effects. Worth the watch bro

Default Scream catalogue

I'm slowly but surely building my collection of Scream titles. I have recently ordered They Live and Deadly Blessing. Now I have just The Nest, The Island, From Beyond, Phantasm II, and Ninja III and I will be caught up until July 30. Unless Cliff and Co. slow down on announcing titles, I will never catch up...lol...And I wouldn't have it any other way! Keep the titles coming our way!

P.S. I also need The Vampire Lovers. Scream will be getting a portion of my paycheck for the foreseeable future.

These would be okay substitutes:

Deranged
Squirm
Shocker - Not that good, only worth owning because it's a Craven title.
People Under the Stairs - Not that good, only worth owning because it's a Craven title.

If there is a surprise I hope it is one of the following:

The Thing - Desperately needs a better release!
Escape from New York - Desperately needs a better release!
Hell Night
Night of the Demons
The Midnight Hour
The Legend of Hell House

I hope it is not:

The Phantom of the Opera (1989) - I thought this was terrible!
Shock Treatment - Not a huge fan of Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Well Scream does not only horror but also sci-fi and thrillers remember? Dark Angel and They Live are sci-fi films they released.

I hope it's these titles:
Cat People
Sleepaway Camp
Nightmares
Nighthawks
Killdozer
Rollercoaster
Manhunter with both cuts.
I Madman

They Live is a horror/sci-fi hybrid and I don't think Dark Angel really belongs in the Scream line, although it doesn't keep me up nights. EFNY has no horror elements to speak of, save perhaps for
[Show spoiler]the subterranean crazies who drag down Special Guest Star Season Hubley.

EFNY was actually billed as Sci-fi, since it had futuristic elements when it was released in the early 80's. Couple that with the scene you mentioned, as well as the severed heads on the pikes, the overall dark mood to the film and I think this would make a great addition to the Scream lineup.
I hope it's their first digibook!

It's certainly sci-fi, but the horror elements would be a stretch. Not to say I wouldn't love to see them release it.

Since you seem to be replying right now Cliff, is there ever a chance of The Thing being released by you guys?

Cliff, can you confirm at this point whether Prince will include the UK Carpenter commentary?

Hi Cliff, The other thread got thrown way to the back...
What will the running time for Voyage of the Damned be and is it in widescreen for the blu-ray?
Some people online are claiming that there is a much longer version that was long ago released on VHS. Any truth to this longer cut?

Also, back in an interview I saw with you, you mentioned that Eve of Destruction was coming out by your company..is that sill slated for this year? Hopefully as a double feature with Steel and Lace
