But 3 can be imported if you must have it.

Just an observation. I was watching Elm Street 4 a few minutes ago, and, while reading the credits, I found out that Linnea Quigley was in it (for a couple seconds). I just never knew that and thought it was an interesting tidbit. Also, I found a poster for the Scream Factory release Prison (also directed by Renny Harlin) outside the movie theater in the film.

I'd bet POLTERGEIST III will show up on Blu-Ray domestically when the remake hits in 2014. I'm surprised it hasn't appeared already -- that Fox/MGM release overseas is region free and came out at the same time as II, but they didn't release III in the U.S. for whatever reason. Maybe they're just sitting on it because the remake is actually being made.

I think it's been nixed in the past although I'm not certain. It's with HBO though.

Watched X-Ray and Schizoid last night. Great stuff from Scream. The transfer for Schizoid is the better of the two but I expect neither of them have ever looked so good. Really liked both but I expect X-Ray will get more replay action.

Dear Scream Factory

Please keep the 80's slashers coming and thanks for doing what you do.

Yours
DEF

"Major" is too subjective a term when talking about what constitutes a popular title. What some may consider to be major, others will go "meh". Many people were disappointed with the Comic Con announcements even though films like "Cat People" and "Nightbreed" as perceived as popular titles. If Fright Night II were to be announced, these boards would light up like a Christmas tree since it's a film many people want. Personally, if FN II were announced tomorrow it would make the rest of my year but if "The Legacy" or "Serpent and the Rainbow" were announced, I'd go "meh". But I won't put down anyone who likes those films just because I don't need them on Blu-ray. Everybody likes what they like.

I agree with you -- that is kinda what I meant , something the great many of us would agree on and not go meh. Id go MEH for those titles you mentioned , but if it were FN II we can have a party
Ill have my own party if Without Warning is one of the titles lol
The Sleepaway Camp seems logical but SF can surprise us

At this point I am very curious what they are gonna be announcing for next year. If you read these posts it seems like Scream Factory has nixed almost every awesome title that people bring up. I hope they are just playing the surprise game cause otherwise next years slate is not gonna be as epic as this years was. To each their own of course but films like Dolls, Nightmares, Jaws 2 and 3, Sleepaway Camp movies, Pumpkinhead, Hell Night, Burnt Offerings, Trilogy of Terror, Slumber Party Massacre Trilogy (regardless of the DVD release), etc. Aren't those the titles that a lot of horror fans are clamoring for. Personally I could care less if Shocker came out. Last time I watched it, it really didn't hold up. People Under the Stairs and Serpent would be cool but come one we need US releases of Motel Hell, Deranged, The Car, The Sentinel, The Changeling, etc. I know some of those are from companies that they don't have deals with but this is what horror fans want. I think one of the only reissues I would like would be Army of Darkness or Dawn of the Dead. I know I am not alone in this. I respect Scream Factory for what they have given us so far but we need some more big releases. The stuff that makes us chomp at the bit and pre-order like madmen.

just a quick poll here for my own amusement, how many people put all the Scream Factory titles together on their shelf or alphabetically?

I do alpha but I may change that. The only films I keep together are my anime and, of course, The Criterion Collection.
