They don't even have any of the old ones listed anymore, or at least none that I've searched for to test it. Not Halloween III, They Live, The Howling, none of them. It goes without saying that they have removed all of the preorders as well. This is very, very weird.
I think it may be due to them updating the site.

Sleepaway Camp is still on their site here. But it's says Backorder. So just looks like their OOS.
I also see Halloween III, They Live and The Howling.. all available to order.

The Final Terror was added today - $17.77 Now I'm hoping for a Fathers Day coupon.

Thanks for the link. It doesn't show up if you search it.

I just need Deadly Eyes to be put up (and a coupon would be great as well).

I would guess they'll do 10% for Father's Day and 15% for 4th of July.

I hope they do 15% for Father's Day though, there's a bunch of stuff I've been waiting to order.

They did 15% for Mother's Day, so unless they're sexist bastards, we should theoretically expect 15% for Father's Day as well.

I was just thinking of the possibilities for that one Miramax title again, IF it is for a Scream release.
-Ritual (for a Tales from the Crypt Trilogy)
-Cursed (Wes Craven set)
-Phantoms (Dean Koontz set?)

A title I was thinking of is the Dimension Romero-approved Night Of The Living Dead. They could collaborate again with Starz/AB (if they still have Dawn) and release a mega Dead set with NOTLD, all 3 cuts of Dawn, and Day.

Ya know....some of us like that movie. Besides, it was released under the Shout Factory label....Scream's not the only label for them. Now, I love all the movies you mentioned too. But even the Shout label needs titles to release to make money as well. I don't see why Scream can't put out more titles next year from Universal. However....isn't Psycho IV considered a tv movie? IIRC Scream/Shout are not interested in televison movies....

That's not with Miramax. That's with Weinstein Company, I believe. Plus, if Anchor Bay had any interest in a Dead megaset, they'd have released it when all three were in their possession.

Yeah, TWC does have that version of Night but Anchor Bay doesn't have the rights to Dawn of the Dead anyway. And they haven't techincally made any "deal" with either of those companies yet.

You'll get an email every couple weeks or so leading up to a films release basically saying your back ordered item isn't in stock yet. Then a few days before release date you'll get the usual, your item has shipped, email.

I see people mentioning the following movies

Demon Knight
The Serpent and the Rainbow
The People Under the Stairs

Have they recently acquired the rights to any of these?

Nice, i am there and fans should throw away their bootleg DVDs and get this blu-ray DVD set.

Who here thinks they did an awesome job with Sleepaway Camp in it's 2K restoration of the uncut theatrical version and looks as outstanding as Lifeforce, Prince of Darkness, Slumber Party Massacre, Final Terror, Evilspeak, etc. Hopefully the upcoming Final Terror in it's new restoration might be damned good on HD.

If they do Company of Wolves in a CE, they should have that Nathan guy or that Osbourne fellow for cover art and even do a 2K or 3K restoration supervised by Neil Jordan.

No. Shout won't be licensing anymore Universal titles this year according to a facebook post by the label earlier this year, presumably because they want to avoid fan backlash when the transfers are revealed as mediocre. PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS is available from Arrow Video if you're region-free.

Cliff said they used the best reels from 5 theatrical prints for The Final Terror on the Killer POV podcast. They stated there is some scenes that looked a little faded on Scream's Facebook, due to coming from prints. But, also on the Killer POV podcast they said that The Final Terror Blu Ray is night and day difference from the Vestron VHS. That last statement really got me excited for the release. I know it won't be mind blowing good because of source limitations, but as long as it blows the old VHS out of the water, and you can see what is happening during the night scenes, I will be one happy camper!

To let Scream Factory speak for themselves on this release, here is the Extras post where they discuss film elements:
**EXTRAS REVEALED on THE FINAL TERROR***

We start our 4-month "Summer of Fear" celebration by revealing today the extras for one of our titles within it: THE FINAL TERROR--on DVD & Blu-ray for the first time!

• New Audio Commentary with director Andrew Davis
• New interviews with actors Adrian Zmed and Lewis Smith, Post Production Supervisor Allan Holzman and composer Susan Justin
• Original Theatrical Trailer

This release was a challenge for us to execute. All of the original film elements (negative and inter-positive) were lost and we searched for them for months. In order to create this new HD transfer, we sourced five film prints from collectors and used the best reels. The film looks better than ever (considerably more than its VHS release, of course) but we do feel it is important to disclose that there is some mild discoloring during reel 2. We have done everything possible to minimize it (for some viewers, it will barely be noticeable) but wanted to communicate it all the same beforehand and know that we did the best we could with what we had to work with.
