It was just a bit too much for this viewer ! Hence I will never ever watch Sid and Nancy ever again either
I won't revisit Sid and Nancy either. But its due to how annyoying and talentless the female lead was. Oldman was amazing though.

I wish they would lose the fake crumbled paper dime store pulp novel effects on the covers but otherwise the Dolls cover seems really nice.

I can't really say that I'm super-excited for any of them, though New Year's Evil is close. I've wanted to see The Dark Half for awhile now, but since the DVD was full screen I held off. Phantom of the Opera '89 is another I've wanted to check out, so there's that...

Zero interest in the two re-releases.
If fanboys didn't lap up the shit titles that even they admit they don't like "just so they can support the scream factory label" maybe they would release something better. Itd be one thing if these were 14.99 (hell most of them are only worth 10$) but if you want them in store your gonna pay over 30$ with tax on online probably 25$ for shit like monkey shines? That movie was on the Elrey channel several times and I couldn't even make it through more than 10 minutes at a time because it sucks so much and thats for free. The Burning, the fog and day of the dead are the only things they have released that is worth a damn IMO, then they release shit like lake placid for 30$ when its on IFC every other damn night.

Or, and brace yourself, maybe some people like different films. Such as Lake Placid and Monkey Shines...

If Fanboys didn't lap up these "shit titles" (That are likely licensed dirt cheap) there wouldn't be any big name titles to speak of. Not every film is licensed for a bargain price, some actually require a fair sized investment. When these cheaper, less then stellar titles sell reasonably well, it's essentially financing the next round of titles and/or a more in demand big name title. I'd also imagine it's much easier to make a profit on these lower tier releases than it is on a more expensive bigger name title.

I know it likely won't happen, but I would love it if SF got their hands on Summer Camp Nightmare. It's basically about a group of campers who revolt against their strick camp director and take over the camp for themselves. I'm not sure if anyone remembers it, but it came out in 1987. I used to watch it all the time as a kid.

This is what the VHS box art looks like:

I rented that several times as a kid. I'd love to get it on Blu, from SF or anyone. Who has the rights?

Gotta love the people who don't like a movie and think that's the way Everyone should feel. Thank god bluray companies don't listen to these maniacs and still give us these "shit titles" that some of us DO love. If you don't like a title they are releasing, don't freaking buy it. Seems so simple.

I quite like that Dolls art, and I'm not always a big fan of the new art.

I may actually take advantage of the poster deal.

I remember it well. It billed itself as a "Taps at Summer Camp", but Taps is fine art compared to this thing. It's one saving grace (for me) was the casting of Tom Fridley (Cort in Friday the 13th Part 6), who is excellent in the film. Chuck Connors phones it in, much like his role in Werewolf.

Oh yeah, the song Beef Baloney from FEAR was a nice touch.

In regards to Chiller films, what's left waiting in the wings for release at the moment? Just Animal, Deep in the Darkness, and Chilling Visions: 5 States of Fear, right? Am I missing any?

I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one of them pop up in the line-up before the end of the year.
