Come on Scream Factory....more 70's and 80's horror please!
More '70s horror! Like Blacula... but not Blacula?

Just a personal preference but I didn't care for Blacula at all. However, it does fit into the Scream Factory mold. I'm just being selfish and want more cool slasher movies from the late 70's and early 80's

I liked the first one. The second one bored me to tears.

I assume obtaining these costs something (although could believe these titles are just given away) I'd rather they put the cost of these 6 titles was put towards obtaining Phantasm 1,3&4 to then issue a set.

Watching Wishmaster this afternoon. Wouldn't mind this set either. DVD holds up well but would look much better on blu.

I'm hope they're saving Phantasm for an October 31st announcement.

So far only Class of 84 for me. I'll just patiently wait until they get all these comedies announced and out of the way. I'm sure they'll come up with something nice and juicy (and hardcore lol) before the month is out. Maybe a slasher or 2.

Fingers crossed, but it has to be the 3 others not just one.

Still think Wishmaster would be good, it's like a who's who of horror. Covering Elm st, Candyman, Friday 13th, Phantasm, Day of the Dead and probably more....

Supernova is right up my alley as a 90's sci-fi film, but I remember it being pretty terrible. Might get it if they load it up with features for a lower price, but they probably won't do that.

I also randomly remember it being PG-13 yet having a lot of nudity. Irritated my mother at the time!

I agree, although sometimes a lack of money isn't the only thing standing in the way of a films' release...

I think now that a total of 31 films will be announced this month. Double features count as two, obviously.

Good news about the Blacula double feature. SF is getting lots of my money.

I'm glad to see some 70's horror getting announced, though Blacula is not high priority for me as there is also a region B release in the works. I have zero interest in Supernova and the vampire comedies. I hadn't expected so many announcements from SF in only three days. Too bad they're mostly lacklustre titles. Might get Class of 1984, though.

God, I hope not. Talk about stretching it thin. I'm all for fewer releases, but of higher quality. Cranking out cheap, rush jobs... this is why we have pages and pages of people complaining about poor-quality transfers / releases.

Lets go back to 'Friday Announcements' for the month.

Blacula? i am in man, i want that!

I think Shout should do another deal with Universal and get "Boy who Cried Werewolf" (Never had a BD release or DVD release for that matter), "Killdozer", a collector's edition of Tales from The Hood (with new HD transfer and extras galore), a CE of John Waters's Serial Mom (with new 2K scan and extras abound), Serpent and The Rainbow CE, Tales from the Crypt Demon Knight/Bordello of Blood CEs, etc. since Sleepaway Camp which is Universal owned now sold lots of copies.

Universal owns the title and characters, not the film itself.

I really wish this company would announce Dellamorte Dellamore (Cemetery Man), not sure why this hasn't gotten a US release yet and I think they'd do a great job at it.

Great news about the TALES FROM THE CRYPT/VAULT OF HORROR update, and the announcement of CAPRICORN ONE.

Maybe Shout! also nabs the rights to Ravager, and then we get another Shout! / AB collaboration set?
