I hope so! It's my favourite movie from when I was a child. I still think the first act is pretty creepy.

On the subject of small demons that wreak havoc, I wonder if Scream Factory might release The Gate (1987) someday.

I'm crossing my fingers that Critters will be one of the announcements.

Warner Brothers has all the Critters films..

I do wonder if they licensed anymore Charles Band Empire Cinema titles though..

Did anyone see the news story about Miramax and Lionsgate renewed deal.. all of those great horror films such as the Hellrasier series, From Dusk Till Dawn , The Faculty , etc will continue to get lackluster releases .. really a shame

Hopefully WB sells it so someone will release the original on Blu.

Yeah, From Dusk Till Dawn really annoys me. The DVD had all kinds of stuff on it like a commentary, a few featurettes with heavy involvement from Tarantino and Rodriguez, deleted scenes and that long documentary (full-tilt boogie), and the bluray is bare-bones (though I know you can get the documentary as part of some crummy 4 movie set). The picture's also terrible, though it's an upgrade from the non-anamorphic DVD >:P You'd think they'd make more of an attempt to cash in on something with such heavy involvement from Tarantino, especially since there's now a TV series. Is it really that much trouble to just port over special features? Must cost them a few dollars to license or something.

Hellraiser 1/2 are similar, I remember a ton of featurettes and commentaries on the old anchor bay DVDs. Terrible. I figure those might be anchor bay's fault, since we all just saw what happens when you try to collaborate with them (Halloween IV).

At least the Faculty's dvd was just as bad as the bluray!

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENTS**

Our month-long "Shocktober" celebration continues with two more films to reveal. 1984’s GHOULIES and its 1988 sequel GHOULIES II (Both from Empire Films/Charles Band) will make their debut on the Blu-ray format next Spring as a double-feature!

There are no details on extras at this time and they will be announced sometime next year, along with a confirmed street date.

We still have more films to announce so stay tuned this month here on our page to be the first to see them!
Wow, never expected these to be announced! These films were requested a lot of times.

I'd definitely like to see The Manitou from SF. Does Anchor Bay still have it? And does AB still have C.H.U.D.? I'd love to see some of the Anchor Bay titles come out through other companies, like Scream Factory - with the exception of the obvious classics, AB just doesn't seem to put in the effort anymore, and they still manage to drop the ball even with some of the bigger titles.

It's good to see SF so active, btw., though Supernova, Ghoulies, and vampire comedies are not exactly the announcements I've been hoping for. Thank goodness October isn't over yet!

If they keep announcing titles at this rate, we'll know most of 2015's titles by Halloween.

Yeah, I remember when I was really young and would go with my mom to the video rental store(in the days of VHS)I would brave the horror aisle to look for some of the cool covers.

I'm tempted to get this but I'm just not sure how well the film has held up over time.

Unfortunately 3 is with Lionsgate, not sure who has 4, but I'm excited for 1 & 2. I'm just glad 3 got an official DVD release in 2012.

Did we ever a compile an MGM list, even if just of titles previously issued on DVD? Scream are certainly working through them at a fast rate.

I just bought the blu ray finally and I find its picture quality far from terrible. Not great either, but far from terrible. Much better than a DVD. The review on the site is pretty accurate.

Probably won't happen. I believe The Gate is with Lionsgate. That company has so many great films and they just sit on them and squander them, I guess I don't get it.
