That's sad cause the horror show is so awesomely bad. More people should see it.

I knew Psycho II was generally held in higher regard, but that's quite the drop off from II to III.

Edit: Psycho III actually appears in 602 collections.

It is relatively difficult to find many of them here in my area (Rhode Island). MovieStop probably has the largest selection. Some FYEs around here carry them, though many locations seemingly do not. Walmart has only carried a few DVDs: Day of the Dead, and more recently, The Battery. I believe Newbury Comics - a Boston based retailer - carries some, though I don't shop in there particularly often.

Never been happier to live near Boston.

I've only ever seen The Fog in Best Buy last year after it was released, Vampire Lovers in one of my Barnes & Noble Stores, and maybe 5-6 titles at Suncoast about an hour away. If these titles were to show up at Wal-Mart and/or Target the amount of Scream Factory titles in my collection would probably be double what it is now.

Exactly, especially seeing it in physical form with new artwork and a slip, makes it much easier to buy. Sometimes online ordering can be a pain, trying to find enough things to get free shipping, wondering whether youll get the slip or not, backorders, crappy packaging ect...if its just there on a shelf its a much easier decision. For instance i kept putting off Prom Night, something would always bump it when id place an amazon order, then i came across it at walmart and i grabbed it, no questions, no thought, just BAM! MINE!

Huh... I find shopping on Amazon with Prime ten times easier and more comfortable than dealing with retail stores. Want something, click, it shows up at my door 2 days later with no hassle or high cost.

I don't care about slipcovers though.

April Fool's Day (1986) would have to come from WB (as it's part of the Paramount distribution deal).

oh it can definately have its benefits, mostly for me though those benefits are finding things that i cant find in store. I think for me I still have a lot of nostalgia for how it used to be in the 80s/90s...pretty well everything was in store...isles and isles of movies, as far as the eye could see lol.

And I'm getting it soon. I now have a job and some money, so my five (now six) Scream releases won't get lonely.
I now have:
the DVDs of Halloween 2&3, Phantasm II, and They Live
the CE of From Beyond
the new release of Lifeforce

Still on the wishlist are:
Night of the Comet
Night of the Demons
Phantom of the Paradise
Swamp Thing
TerrorVision/Video Dead

and on the "If I decide to upgrade..." List:
Halloween Collection Deluxe Edition (more than likely going to happen soon)
Darkman
The Howling

By the way, I'm still begging to put all of their Carpenter releases (sans Halloween) in a box set for convenient purchasing. I'd buy in an instant, considering it would have three of my favorites (EFNY, AOP13, & TL), one I like (TF), one i should probably see again (POD), and one I have never seen (BB).

This month I got Cat People and Darkman via the Shocktober sale, I waited on those because honestly they didn't get me too excited.

I sold my copy of the OOP Lifeforce Collector's Edition yesterday and used the funds to purchase Sleepaway Camp.
I reckon I'll pick up the new version of Lifeforce eventually to replace the other. I didn't see the one extra as a big loss tbh.

... BTW, I'm looking to sell my copy of Halloween III (with the Slipcover) to go towards Nightbree (before it sells out).
Then I'll upgrade to the Halloween Collection. The system works.

The Horror Show is just plain awesome. Lance Henriksen and Brion James craziness - what's not to like?

I remember spending two hours in Suncoast Video browsing endless laserdiscs and DVDs while my mom/girlfriend/wife went to look at clothes. Fun stuff. If that experience still existed around here I might do it, but it doesn't. I'm just used to Amazon now.

Is it best to pre-order the titles I want direct from Scream? I had 4 earlier but it was like $100 after tax are there any offers for free shipping if you spend a certain amount?

Same here. Other than Criterions at B & N, I haven't bought a single disc in-store in probably a decade, and likely never will again. When it comes to price and selection (not to mention overall browsability and ease of purchase), there's just no comparison. Plus, I was shopping tax-free all those years, until Amazon started charging locally last year.

You can certainly see a number of titles that have probably had a big influence on Scream's move in this direction, and would of been released as double features in hindsight. Plus the more the library expands, the more those obscure titles are going to be lost in the crowd
make that 19 for the squad :P i was late to add it.

I like Hastings because I can get Scorpion and Kino titles for $20 (when they are usually higher than that on Amazon). It also is an easy place to get Scream CEs for $20 with slip.

Not the end of the world to me, but I'm really surprised they don't feel Scarecrows could hold its own, especially when Supernova and Robot Jox are getting solo releases.
