I always had a feeling it was more of a customer demand issue, especially since they are putting arguably the two least known titles in a double feature to begin with. But whatever the case I've never seen either film but I'm super excited at the blind purchase!

Another film I'd like to see is the tv movie/miniseries Intensity. I just edited together both halves of the Fearnet HD On Demand presentation (while taking out the two commercials), so this is still fresh in my mind. It has an hd master ready to go.

Stay tuned for more details on an official street date...
Huzzah! I can't wait to see THE ISLAND in 1080p! I can't imagine what kind of extras you could put on it (other than maybe a History Channel show on Blackbeard and especially his confrontation with Meynard), but it would be interesting to see an interview with Michael Caine on his memories of THE ISLAND (imagine how entertaining that would be... hell, just the expression or look on his face during the first question would be worth it).

Hey guys, Scream Factory just received an early sample of the "Halloween III" Blu-ray to inspect before final processing takes place. Feast your eyes on the definitive release of this cult classic. That slipcover looks gorgeous:

I don't think you'll have a problem getting a slipcover if you have your pre-order in already. I know yesterday people were mentioning that they haven't received slips even on release date but I have never had that issue. I don't think you should you have a problem.

really want to order a few of these titles, however when i tried to place the order they don't ship to the UK, I'll probably end up ordering with amazon but really want the slips, what's the likelyhood that amazon will get them or will they just be exclusive to scream factory website orders?

I agree!

It's the last thing that really needs to be changed about their releases.
cmac said he'll see what can be done about that issue... I hope it will change for the future releases

Think they said it's a budget problem, subtitles comes last on list for most people.

Does anyone know what's the percentage cost of adding subtitles to a bluray? Is it 5%, 6%, 7%, more or less, of the total cost?

Be nice

For those looking to pick up Halloween 2 or Halloween 3 at Wal-Mart or Target you will be out of luck. They Posted the DVD slip and box for Halloween 2 on Facebook and they said the DVDs would also be sold at target but not the blus. I asked if Walmart will beselling the blus either and they said they know for sure that neither Wal-Mart or Target will Stock the Blus they said they were unsure about Best Buy, FYE, or Frys... Lucky I have them pre ordered from Amazon

cmac said FYE would probably carry them since they are Shout Factory friendly. I would think Best Buy would also but who knows with them anymore.

*EDIT: Correction, just looked and Best Buy has Halloween 2 & 3 on their site. Granted, they're $24.99 each right now but that price will drop much lower for release day. It wouldn't surprise me if they end up being like $14.99 there.

Yup. Coincide that with another trade and save and you're looking at 10 bucks a pop. Now that's a price I can handle.

Anyone know if Scream Factory has distribution rights in Canada? I'm a bit curious to know if I'm going to have to make a trip down to Fargo / Grand Forks to pick these bad boys up.

I've heard it's around $800 to $1500 per movie for a Hollywood studio. A Hollywood studio of course can amortize that cost over different distribution avenues like streaming and broadcast, whereas a place like Shout has to consider the whole cost solely for the DVD/BD release.

I doubt Best Buy will get any of these in store. Barnes and Noble is the only b&m store (and Borders, before they closed) where I've seen a Shout Factory release.
