I was reading the Scream FB page and they ask how excited are we for Darkman...
I wanted to say *not very* since I don't like the film but did not want to cause a stir.. Im not a fan of that particular series..

I don't mind the first Darkman, it's alright. But yeah, i'm with you on the other ones, they are uninspired.

We need to support these companies or they will go belly up...and then you wont get any genre titles like The Horror Show or The Video Dead for the first time on DVD or a movie like the Vampire Lovers or the Nest or the Incredible Melting Man which will be the first time in HD.

Predication -I think that The Horror Show will be HD...Id say the chances are over 50%.
And there are so many movies that looks great in SD in their OAR..I think of Code Red's GhostKeeper, Horror High or Nightmare...or House on Sorority Row from Scorpion.
The stubborness of refusing to buy something will ruin the DVD economy..and I will take something in SD if it means having more cool releases in the future.

I think its a great scene. Brutal, but one of the movie's best. Way to go Carpenter for screwing the MPAA, with his adding the scene back in after getting his R.

I have never seen an Amityville movie, so it wasn't all that obvious to me. Neither was Vanilla Twist, but that's my own problem.

That's the reason I love it (and hate it). Its so random and disturbing that it kills me to watch it but its so fun and such a powerful scene.

Now, you need to get to watching all 22 Amityville films .
Some/Most are actually pretty good.

I at least want to watch the first three, the remake, and The Conjuring (it so does count, spinoff anyone?).

Not really, I found The Conjuring as better than the Amittys and its own animal.

But the Amityville movies don't touch on the investigation aspect of the haunting. And thus, the Warrens aren't in it. Basically, the Warrens are related to the real Amityville haunting, but not the films.

So it's a bit of a stretch.

That was an old post. I was right about the Horror Show and the House on Sorority Row is going blu ray but did get the DVD of it in the meantime..
