I agree. Pumpkinhead and The Blob are two that I think would sell out as quickly as, if not faster than, Christine. Burnt Offerings and Audrey Rose, while I'll pre-order them as soon as they go live, would probably go as fast as The Fury.

Hey guys,

Looks like you are all going to be seeing around these threads a lot more often these days. I'm excited to discussing the latest in cult films on here

Have to give a shout out to the Ginger Snaps fans on here, you all provide interesting reasons to revisit the film. You know who you all are

I'm a little confused on why Scream Factory purchased The Battery. I just watched it and I can't imagine how it could be a large seller. It's something you watch once and then forget about it. It's very drawn out and boring. Maybe that's the point? It reminds me how I feel when I'm watching a really boring episode of Walking Dead. One of the episodes where nothing happens.
I also realize the main actor was also the director of the film, but that's no excuse for the lazy cinematography. There are several scenes where the camera doesn't change angles for 5+ minutes. The film in my opinion was 30 minutes too long. Instead they should have chopped out the BS and put a proper ending into the film. It obviously wasn't in the budget.

I loved it, your issue with it seems really like a "you-problem". It was shot that way for a reason, probably stylistically. It doesn't impact the film in any way, and for me I liked it.

I liked it, but it was the director's passion project that he had been trying to produce for quite some time. I think it's great.

Awesome, glad you had a good time. I've heard Tom Savini isn't very nice. PJ Soles came to Australia for a small convention last year. It was in a different state to me, so I didn't go, but a friend got her to sign a copy of Halloween for me and he said she was super nice and great to talk to.

I met Savini at a horror movie convention about 9-10 years ago and he kind of had a I don't give a **** attitude about being there. I said hi, shook his hand and had him autograph something then walked off. He didn't look like he was in the mood for questions and whatnot.

Tom was very gracious...sure they charge for signatures but he and everyone else are all approachable, I told Tom how much I appreciated his work and bought the photo of him as he was in From Dusk Till Dawn with the gun in his *crotch* area.. Tom and I agreed about the Twilight Time blu ray being darker but still really ok( I do not mean to stir this up, this was just something I mentioned to him when we talked)
He didnt seem happy to be here because the weather was raining cats and dogs..I think with Tom you just be mellow, be cool ..and I thanked him for his work and was genuinely glad to meet him
PJ Soles was so wonderful, she was a breath a fresh air ! the Hug of the year
I also met John Russo the writer for the original Night of the Living Dead and he has so many great stories..I got a couple of freebies after I bought his NOLD scrapbook/book - he knew I wasnt lying when I told him it really was my favorite horror film and saw my enthusiam for..He basically said he wanted to make a film that no one had seen the likes of before..I asked him about the dark ending - and he said in that neck of the woods there are people who really go hunting there, so it was logical for Ben to be shot. And he also said if the cast went down into the basement during the film would have ended because the zombies would have walked past the house
He tried to sell me dirt from an actual graveyard in a coffin pendant lol that was funny
I also met Godzilla my biggest hero and got a ton of pictures and bought him a soft drink...I made myself memorable to him I hope...I met him 3 years ago...his daughter remembered me...he might have too.
It almost brings tears to my eyes that I have been blessed to meet the man TWO times who has been my inspiration since I was a child and thats Godzilla ! I never thought Id ever meet him and Ive done it twice !!

To each their own. I've seen the movies four times and can't wait for the BD. One of my top five films of 2013. I think it's a brave acquisition and I commend Scream for taking it on. It's a perfect fit for Jeremy Gardner and crew and I really hope Scream does great with their pilot venture into current cinema. I'll be pre-ordering two!

Has Shout ever "upgraded" a title from regular release to a Collector's Edition after making an initial announcement? I ask because I hope Final Terror gets a CE. It seems as if Cliff and co. are very excited about acquiring the movie - too much to just release it as a regular edition.

Due to licensing issues all of their releases are region locked.

Good to hear, hope they do.

From what I understand, it's not the nicest part of L.A., so I can't really blame the Horror's Hallowed Grounds guys for not wanting to go out there.
Thats an awesome blog that mate, i actually have it shortcuted on my desktop. I plan on going to LA again in a few years and going on a big locations drive while i'm there.

They even say during the Making of feature on NOTD that the house was torn down and is now a Ralph's grocery store. How sad.

Those were mistakenly made region free, Scream Factory said they should have been region A locked.
