So what do you guys think the chances are that any of these titles dip below $19? I know I'm being frugal but I hate paying more than $15 for any catalog title.

They already have. About two weeks ago, I picked up The Funhouse and Terror Train for $16.79 a piece from DVDEmpire. I believe they had They Live, Halloween II / III as well. Death Valley and Island were $15.99 I think.

Those are the best prices I've seen so far.

That's the cheapest I've seen as well. Walmart has 'They Live' for $19.99 btw

Anyone else would like to see the Poltergeist sequels thru Shout? Maybe a double feature Blu with a doc covering all 3 films, since Warner didn't bother with extras on the original film. I'd love to see a featurette on Heather O'Rourke, the tragic little girl from the film.

MGM just released Part II last year, so I doubt they'd license it out so soon afterwards.

•'Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3' is warner, they rarely liscense films out to other companies. Best bet would be to hope they put it out along with the original in 2013 to coincide with 'Texas Chainsaw 3D's January release.
•'Fire in the Sky' is Paramount. Maybe Warner has liscenced it from them for a potential upcoming release.
•'Leprechaun' is Lionsgate, I doubt they can do a deal with Lionsgate as they are a competitor in the cult movie genre.
•'Fog' is MGM and I'm almost certain its part of their deal with them.
•'Hellraiser 3' is Paramount but Echo Bridge currently has liscense of the films. Also Miramax may have stake in the home video release also.
•'Prince of Darkness' is Universal and they are possible making a deal with them to get more films and if so I think it'll be on that slate.
•'Hellbound: Hellraiser part II' is with Image, who liscensed it and won't be giving up a "biggie" title like that, or any other really.
•'Tales from the Darkside: the movie' is Paramount. They just liscenced a ton of movie to Warner. Best bet is that this will come through Warner.

Whew!...
I thought I said I knew where all the titles were at as far as studios go, you didn't tell anybody anything new, it was intended for Cliff as he may actually know "Scream Factory's" involvement.

You don't have to be a dick about it. But whatever, just trying to help...

It seems they don't care much for P3, hope they release it so I can finally see the original ending.

Dude, like, either chill out or be more specific in your posts. And fyi Cliff isn't gonna reveal everything about their plans just because YOU ask!! You're not the center of the universe!

Did "Poletgeist III" ever even get and individual release? I rember it was in a 4pack and a double feature. Was it even even on its own?

According to Amazon, nope...which is a shame because it's a very misunderstood and underrated sequel. Much like The Exorcist series, #3 is the best film.

I hope Warner gets an Exorcist set through. I'd love that! "Poltergeist 3" is good, and so is "Exorcist 3" because they went in different directions without changing the feel of their franchises.

Side note:

What do most people want in "The Town that Dreaded Sundown"'s release? A double feature with "Evictors" or both singles? I think TTDS diserves a single individual release, after years of being unavaliable. Hopefully it'll be a collectors edition blu-ray. I suspect it'll be blu-ray because TCM-HD had it on a bit ago and that means it is in some form of HD already. Any comments on what you'd prefer??

Cliff: in regards to THE VAMPIRE LOVERS, is there any chance to create cover art using the original posters?:

Does not really matter to me, I am just happy to see them both get a release on BD.

In regards to THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN, I can't wait to see that on blu-ray! I still remember reading the Saturday morning SCENE (that came with the Courier Journal) and they always had the movie reviews and ads in the back. I remember stumbling on the ad for TIMM and being scared and grossed out... I'd quickly turn the page to get past it, and then peel the page back to peek at the gross face.

Ahh, childhood memories...

This one will take some creativity, as there's not much poster art to work with.

Then again, there is always this:

Or if you wanted to go a more "Criterion" route...

I agree that its pretty exciting to see this title come to BD. I did not catch up with the film until probably the mid 1980s on late night TV and remember thinking how awesome Rick Baker's effects work was. The topless chick was an added bonus as well.

Not sure I like that bottom artwork, he looks like the Tarman from ROTLD!

Probably wouldn't matter since that would be the same situation with "Halloween II" when Scream Factory picked up the rights only a year after Universal's release.

redrunner97 answered your questions about as well as anyone could based on various statements and allusions Cliff has made in this thread.

Cross off Prince of Darkness, for now. Cliff has mentioned that he is hopeful that they can get more titles from Universal.

That leaves The Burning, Phantasm III, Clownhouse, The Fog, and Hellbound: Hellraiser II.

Phantasm III is believed to be with Anchor Bay, as you know. I couldn't find any comments from Cliff regarding sublicensing from Anchor Bay, but it would seem highly unlikely. If Anchor Bay's licensing rights expire, I'm sure Cliff will be first in line to discuss obtaining the rights.

Hellbound: Hellraiser II is with Image Entertainment via their licensing deal with Lakeshore Entertainment. Again, I couldn't find any comments from Cliff regarding sublicensing from Image, but as with Anchor Bay, it would also seem highly unlikely especially since Image already released this film on Blu-Ray.

The Burning, Clownhouse, and The Fog are with MGM. Scream Factory is in the middle of announcing the titles they've obtained on a one or two per week basis. Cliff isn't likely to address the status of any thus far unannounced MGM titles. Personally, I think The Burning and The Fog are likely and Clownhouse is unlikely.

You didn't ask about any Sony titles, but just for safe measure.

Actually, Poltergeist II was released in 2010. They also released Incredible Melting Man recently and that's coming out again next year.
