I havent heard any MGM MOD titles coming down the pike lately, that could be because Scream bought many of the titles in their library. At least the genre titles. Greydon had sold Without Warning DVDr's from what I gathered. I really hope Scream will get a hold of that and Melting Man as well

I bought one of those bootlegs directly from him. Signed it and everything, even included a couple of signed stills. Transfer was VHS quality, though.

I just thought of one (that I think MGM owns) that I would definitely buy on Blu-Ray... Blood Games. I searched on the MGM licensing page and it shows up there so I'm assuming they have the rights.

Trailer

Is The Satanic Rites of Dracula in the public domain in the U.S. still? Is that a title SF might be interested in? I would love a blu-ray release of this Hammer film.

I LOL'd through the whole trailer.
The guy's elbow to the woman's jaw as she rounds the base elicits a ball to the balls, which somehow erupts into an all-out Roadhouse style brawl and commando style shoot em up that leaves a small town in shambles.
"They came to town for a friendly game...but America's favorite past time just got deadly!"
Whoever wrote those trailer narratives in the 80's needs to be put back to work now.

Seriously now, can a mod please step up and sticky this thread? If Raro, Olive, and Twilight Time can get sticky threads, what's the harm in Shout Factory/Scream Factory having one?

I'd love to do GOTHIC and LAIR, but they are both with Lionsgate.

It was at one point, or at least the public domain companies thought it was in the public domain, because it received a number of questionable releases on DVD. I think it might still be under copyright protection, but it's one of those deals where the rights are murky.

Could we get King Kong Vs Godzilla from Shout Factory? It's a Universal title.

Impact... action on demand, probably.

Not sure which forum this came from but Cliff confirmed a new edition of "Return of the Living Dead" won't be coming from Scream Factory if anyone was curious:

"Not likely. It would involve clearing music which can get expensive. If you get a region free Blu-Ray player some day, Second Sight just released a great special edition that includes the original soundtrack."

Have you guys sent a mod a PM requesting the thread be sticked? Otherwise you're relying on a mod to come into this thread and see your requests.

I would like to chime in that you can still play it without a region free player.

When you pop the disc in, and the wrong region screen pops up, hit the Menu button on your remote. That takes you to the main menu, and you can play the movie from there. The SD extras are encoded in PAL, so they may not play, depending on your player, but the movie, the More Brains! documentary and the trailers are in HD and will play fine.

I tried finding out who were actually mods (since I don't know of any off hand), but I couldn't find a list of them anywhere. I'm sure it's somewhere...
