hey, i'm new to the scream fandom.

i bought 4 Scream Factory releases at a local video store here a month ago not even paying attention to the publisher being the same, and was very, very, pleasantly surprised with the whole package of each release (3 of the movies i bought the first outing because i was a fan of the movies already, but wanted BD presentation. the 4th was a blind buy for Night of The Demons, a few days after because i was really impressed with the others i picked up.) i can't put my finger on it, but its just that Scream seems to have a level of quality that i have yet to see from any other label. Blue Underground is up there, but i found scream titles to be overall more fun as far as the selection. i ordered 6 more titles today (the first 4 releases, as well as Final Exam and Evilspeak) and if those are all the same level of quality as the other 4 titles i have, i'll just end up going for the entire filmography.

my only complaint is that i wish the prices were as comparable as Blue Underground, because i can buy 15 of their BDs for about 120 bucks :P i don't have any problem at all supporting scream/shout at the msrp if the quality is maintained across the board... its just gonna be a long drawn-out process to get them all this late in the game

hugely looking forward to lake placid, sleepaway camp, and the final terror. can not wait for those 3

It's very cool that you have a local video store that carries Scream titles. If Wal-Mart doesn't carry it, you can't find it in my area.

Glad you like the releases. They do have a lot of great releases, and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us in the future.

Scream Factory has some great titles.

I have 5 of their releases:

Phantasm II
Psycho II
Psycho III
Night of the Demons
Deadly Blessing

I agree with you with pricing. The 5 titles I have, I purchased new. I would love to get cheaper used copies, but I think the prices never go down, and very few used copies exist, because people know what they are buying and price the used copies accordingly.

The new copies never go down in price except for rare sales and promotions. There are sites like blowitoutahere.com that offer monthly codes for 10% off shipping, but I've never used them. I tend to stick with Amazon Marketplace.

I have nothing to compare it to other than the super beat up trailer on the disc but for my money Final Exam looks jaw dropping. Good fun underrated slasher movie to.

You can thank Code Red for that. I think it's one of their best jobs to date. It looks superb. Even the Scorpion DVD blew me away.

Got an email yesterday that Evilspeak has shipped on 5/9, hope to have it by Tuesday. Seeing the worst looking set of breast implants ever in HD should be interesting.

There's a number of releases that people have expressed disappointment with (They Live and Cat People for example), but it's still a label loaded with must-have releases. But yeah, expect to pay around $20 a pop

Probably not. My (admittedly sh#tty) memory says none of the Shout titles I've tried had subs
