Scream is really making a name for themselves lately. This is all very impressive. The massive HALLOWEEN collection along with the fact they put together an impressive new cut for Nightbreed........these are MAJOR things for companies to do.

I hope it opens the door for larger and greater things.

It's the equivalent of the Warner box, with the art book, collectibles and Stuff.
I usually waited for the solo disk on those, and this's no exception...And yes, like Warner, they only put the Bonus disk on the big box set.

Still, I remember how mis-promoted the studio dumped the original film, so it'll be interesting to see the new Director's Cut completed.
[Show spoiler](Whole or edited, it's still gay-pridier than a Bryan Singer X-Men, though. )

One of my big questions with the Vincent Price II set was the elements being used for The House on Haunted Hill. The film itself is public domain, but the original/best film elements are believed to belong to Warner Brothers. I'm now wondering if Scream Factory was able to license those elements or WB's HD master (assuming there is one) for VPII?

I tried asking on Facebook, but I doubt I'll get a reply from SF from the mess of comments that are already there.

What's the difference between the director's cut and the cabal cut for Nightbreed? And why did SF release one over the other? Should fans be bothered/upset?

I fully understand why Scream is releasing this at the price they are, but man of man I just don't know what I want to do right now.
Pretty pricey blind buy. Why not just rent it for 4 bucks at amazon? That's what I am thinking of doing since I am interested but haven't seen the entire movie since I saw it in the theater when it was originally released. I seem to remember kinda liking it but also thinking it was a little silly.

I have heard they are using a Fox master when they did their DVD release of House..

You guys Scream Factory's complete July and August line up is being sold on Amazon.Ca for less than $20 each (except for Ginger Snaps). If you're interested in their line up and looking to save some $$$ buy them off Amazon.Ca.

I would hope it wouldn't be that high unless the package truly warranted it, but if it was the only option to get it then yes I'd buy it

Just watched Final Exam & really enjoyed it, as for $80 for Nightbreed LE, wow that's pretty steep for 1 movie.

I would if it came in a white velvet box that reproduces the art on the original video release. But that will never happen - US labels lack the vision to come up with stuff like that.

You're tellin' me. I realize it's 3 blu-ray discs, essentially two different films, an entire disc worth of bonus content, some collectable bullspit, but really I don't care too much 'bout that stuff, slipcover aside.

You should see the guys on the 'Occupy Midian Facebook' page screen capping their purchase to show off that they pre-order both of the packages, I did try to explain that the 3-disc blu-ray is the be all, end all. That there won't be anything exclusive on the lesser, cheaper edition, presumably. They'll probably cut up the long interview segments/interviews from the retrospectives on the limited set and put them on the cheaper edition in shorter form.

80 bucks?! EIGHTY bucks?!?

*deep breath. mutters to himself* Calm down, just calm down....

I am hoping (probably in vain) that once Amazon.ca puts this up, the LE will be slightly less ridiculous in price. But being a Canadian, everything gets inflated anyway so it'd probably be more than 80 bucks knowing my luck.

Same here to an extent. I've found that certain parts of their site throw up the error while others do not. Something is definitely screwy, but there are ways around the site without triggering the warnings.

I pulled the trigger on The Burning today when I saw it at Movie Stop during my lunch break. I enjoyed watching The Final Terror Blu-ray last night, and I have an order placed for the Code Red Blu-ray of Just Before Dawn, so I've been scratching the "people hunted down in the woods" itch lately. These three flicks should fill that void nicely for when I'm in that specific mood.
