Loving the bolded ones. I can do without the others.

Finally, some more Jill Schoelen on Blu.

We should all post how unimpressed and let down we are in these announcements.

Scream has a boner for Carpenter so that explains Escape (plus the existing Blu-ray isn't very good) and Mad Max has a sub-par Blu-ray release also, all the extras were on the DVD copies.

It seems that 90% of Scream's releases are MGM titles

Scarecrows is my top pick. 90's Romero meh. Efny is exciting but i hope its a new master and not so dark. Mad max is actually my least fav of the series but still looking forward to it. candyman 2 is the worst of the announcements. Overall im happy

And Candyman 2 but no Candyman? When is this going to get a blu ray release?

I don't even mind the upgrades. As a collector the CEs are just too badass to not want to double dip on. I'm selling Mad Max tomorrow

I like the Phantom of the Opera announcement. I own the 1925/29 and 1943 versions. Will be interesting to see how this version compares.

Seriously! Why the hell would they acquire the sequel over the original!

Probably confirms that its in someone like Twilight Time's hand. Pretty safe to say they would release the first one if they could

In order of my excitement:

1 - Dolls
2 - Scarecrows
3 - Monkey Shines
4 - Invaders from Mars
5 - Phantom of the Opera
6 - New Year's Evil
7 - Mad Max
8 - Escape From New York
9 - Dark Half
10 - Candyman 2

I don't really understand all the complaining either. I wish we had gotten Vampire's Kiss, but it's silly to pout because we got other stuff instead.

Candyman 1 is Sony. SF and Sony don't play nice together.

It is disheartening for those who wanted the pre 1980 films.. I know about the requests for Count Yorga, Blacula, Food of the Gods, Empire of the Ants..
Id rather have those than Mad Max
