Masque is the one I will look into. I really liked the short story, so that's good.

Also, just finished. Alright movie. Good start. Third act went on way too long though, but it does have one line worthy of a Scorsese film. Imagine De Niro saying: "You're slime. You're filth. I'm gonna tear your f-cking eyes out." Ending was corny, but had a good jump scare. Main guy was really good.

Tomorrow will hold either Night of the Living Dead or King Kong Vs. Godzilla. Or whatever YouTube holds: Masque, Manitou, Puppet Master.

Ebay and our own slipcover forum are the only places I have seen slipcovers for sale. It's rare on Ebay, I think most people stick to trading forums for collectors like ours, or other sites'.

Including Nightbreed, 2014 gives us 13 Collector's Editions by my count. 2013 gave us 15. So far there are 3 on the table for 2015. I wonder how many more we can expect. I can't see a huge amount from the MGM offerings left (Vampire's Kiss is an obvious choice - not too many other serious candidates spring to mind), unless they do more upgrades of titles previously released, which seems the likely way forward - Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Carrie, Killer Klowns, TCM 2, Child's Play, Jeepers Creepers 1 and 2 - a fair few possibilites here.

Of course, a potential new deal with Universal offers a few candidates - Serpent and the Rainbow, Shocker, Nightmares, Ghost Story, Demon Knight, People Under the Stairs (I know it's just been released, but it's not impossible they'd offer an upgraded release), Firestarter (see previous), Dracula (see previous - offering the original colour timing would be something).

Then there's Fox, but to be honest I'm not sure what's left there. Other than that Scream would have to surprise us with some new deals.

I think stuff like Escape From New York shows they are willing to expand further out from the core horror genre, which should open up a lot more possibilities. Studios like Criterion and Shout are only going to get more and more business as disc releases become more and more niche.

Split Second (1992), the uncut/extended version, would be awesome! Hopefully, we can get it here in the US, as well.

The first was The Exorcist. Phenomenal movie, but the exorcism scene was kind of a letdown considering how amazing everything before it was.

Other Scream/Shout titles I'm trying to see this month are:
-Galaxy of Terror
-Gamera: The Invincible (maybe)
-Q: The Winged Serpent
-Rob Zombie's Halloween
So... Could someone recommend me the best Corman/Price/Poe movie?
You'll really enjoy Galaxy of Terror. The set design and atmosphere is excellent. They really made this low budget movie look major!

Some of the acting is a little dodgy, but it's still a great time!

This is true, but then would they have released EFNY and Assault on Precinct 13 if they weren't Carpenter films? Mad Max is probably the most intriguing in terms of non-horror titles. If sci-fi, post-apocalyptic and thriller titles are also on the table, then we'd have to think of MGM and Universal titles which aren't strictly horror but may still fit into the line.

Right. I think director can factor in, like how Fincher and Anderson movies get Criterion releases almost by default. If Carpenter becomes the first like that for Scream Factory it would make a lot of sense.

I can see anything with a strong genre or cult following being in Scream's wheelhouse eventually. They already have "horror AND sci-fi" on their webpage. Could be a matter of time before it just says "genre and cult film" or whatever. Who knows?

Personally I'm mostly a sci-fi, action and creature feature guy. I don't like many slasher films at all. So it would be nice for me if Scream expanded out more, since I like their style and special features.

Went ahead and preordered Pumpkinhead and Nightbreed. What are maybe 2-3 of everyone's favorite SF titles?

I found The Masque of the Red Death boring as all get out. The Pit and the Pendulum is tops for me. Followed by The Haunted Palace, then Fall of the House of Usher. Then The Masque of the Red Death. Masque was visually arresting but otherwise dull and tedious.

Hey Scream Factory guys,

Just putting in a vote for Trilogy of Terror '76. I'm in the mood for the Zuni Warrior doll on Blu.

Also, putting in my monthly request for Sleepaway Camp 2 and 3.

Thank you.

Tough narrowing them down like that. For me the top tier would look something like:
-Prince of Darkness
-Witchboard
-Halloween II
-Ravenous

Honorable Mentions:
-Terror Train
-Day of the Dead
-They Live
-Lake Placid
-Pumpkinhead

In terms of Blu-ray total package:

The Fog
The Burning
The Howling

In terms of the films themselves:

They Live
The Howling
Assault on Precinct 13

My top five Scream Factory titles, off the top of my head, just in terms of movie content and not technical specs or extras...

The Vincent Price Collection
Assault on Precinct 13
The Legend of Hell House
Cat People
Without Warning

The Vincent Price Collection and Assault on Precinct 13 are definitely the top two, but it's tough to choose after that, because the rest of my Scream titles are all pretty much equally endearing as fun B-movies.

Fox still has a few to give:
-The Cabinet of Caligari
-The Fly II
-Frankenstein Unbound (especially if Scream & Anchor Bay can collaborate again)
-Shock Treatment

As does MGM:
-Blacula 1&2
-Carrie 2
-Count Yorga 1&2
-The Curse Trilogy
-Disturbing Behavior
-Empire of the Ants / Food of the Gods
-Frogs
-Ghoulies 1&2
-Howling II
-I, Madman
-Love at First Bite
-Manhunter
-More Vincent Price
-Shredder
-Troll
-Vampire's Kiss
-X: The Man With X-Ray Eyes / Premature Burial

As for Independents:
-Wing Nut (Bad Taste, Meet the Feebles, Dead Alive)
-Brian Yuzna (Society, Bride of Re-Animator, Necronomicon)
-Double Helix (Sleepaway Camp 2&3)
-Millenium/Hammer (Scars of Dracula, 7 Golden Vampires, Quatermass 2&3)
