On the fence about getting Psycho III, and Night of the Demons.....
also I liked Cat People, but apparently the transfer is shoddy?
I need to be swayed

Cat People's transfer is a DNR victim. I'm waiting for a discounted price.

Night of the Demons is essential.

Haven't seen Cat People or Psycho III but Night of the Demons is fantastic. If you enjoyed that I would recommend that you also look into Director Kevin Tenney's other SF offering, Witchboard. Probably my favorite of the more low-key SF titles.

EDIT: Just watched Psycho III and wasn't a fan personally. If you love that franchise though I'd say go for it

I know Im not alone on this but I did notice other members who liked my comment. They are the ones who aren't interested in the endless nauseating pages of Scream Factory compression and would simply rather discuss the upcoming Halloween set, future title announcements and the like. If you would like to continue quoting me and keep this up, Im sure other members will appreciate the efforts made to make this thread even more disruptive.
This forum is for discussing blu rays. The compression artifacts clearly shown in screen comparisons are directly related to discussing the quality and release of these blu rays. If you don't want to hear about it, don't read the posts.

Please stop arguing. It's getting dull. The compression issues are something important, something that should be discussed in open forum by the company, but this whole thing started because some people were like "seemed fine to me." It's ridiculous.

It's bringing back the trouble of the times of mocking prestige for no reason... (Something I regrettably participated in...).

And in answer the the earlier question, I too like horror movies.

Scream needs some new announcements... I shudder to think about their next few releases (Halloween & Nightbreed) as the amount of Butt Hurt could prove legendary.

I think we all need an announcement or details/specs right about now.

At least Pumpkinhead 2 will likely be safe.

Couldn't read that with a straight face, could you?

Oddly enough, Pumpkin Head 2 could in fact be safe, or at least slip between the seams as I'm uncertain that there are enough passionate fans for that film to carry on another round of the debate that is the technical aspects of Screams releases.

Not entirely what I meant, but valid nonetheless. I meant that, since the first film seems fine, and they are both from MGM, they will likely be in a similar condition.

I kind of hope Scream is done releasing titles for this year. Some announcements for next year would gladly be welcomed though.

I'm assuming SF had some sort of sale last October for Halloween. Was it like March Madness where they gave out a bunch of codes (15% off/free shipping/coupons for future orders) or Summer of Fear (decent discounts on certain titles)?

How about we instead reflect on what next year holds?

Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh
Escape from New York
Invaders from Mars
Mad Max
New Year's Evil
The Phantom of the Opera
Scarecrows

I'm pretty sure the remainder of the 2014 release schedule is fully announced and listed for pre-order.

Don't forget Dog Soldiers. I think they said there would be a few announcements in October, not sure about September.
