Good point! I really hope we get this in 2014, but if it has to wait until 2015 - so be it. Never saw the film, but from what I read about, I'm really looking forward to this blind buy.

He's gone far, far beyond "seems fine to me," which is why it gets people riled up. In any case, fair enough.

I think it will be 2015 now. I believe Shout confirmed they were done for this year. It makes sense that December is a lighter month with just the two titles.

Kind of a bummer, but on the bright side: one less expenditure during these brutal September/October months.
Perhaps a late November, early December preorder would make a nice Christmas present, in & of itself!

I really hope if Scream Factory makes another deal with Universal, they can release "The Sentinel" and "The Legacy". Among a bunch of others at Universal, or course. Lol.

So's PSYCHO III.

THEY LIVE's transfer is mediocre at best, the JP release looks better but damn those extras look enticing. Might as well buy The Fog and a few other titles I ought to upgrade. Otherwise it's pick and choose.

It's the lowest I've seen it right now. 16.99 on Amazon.

IIRC, they had a different title on sale everyday (might have been Mon-Fri) throughout October.

Therein lies a problem. MGM, which gives out good transfers most of the time, is beginning to show signs of wear (less impactful titles to choose from, Kino/Scorpion using the territory, etc.), but Universal, who has a large unreleased or poorly released horror catalog gives out poor transfers. And then, there are independents, typically complete with negatives for their typically medium high profile titles, that have less titles for an equal or greater cost to the company.

This leaves a choice. Forgo the higher profile titles or the transfer quality, or raise the prices....

This is the main issue for Scream Factory if it wishes to continue.

I would love to see Shout release The Sentinel at some point and Universal's HD master is pretty decent for this title.

Apparently Lionsgate lost the rights to Alligator - maybe SF can pick it up along with Alligator II now

Double feature time! I envision a CE with the sub-par Part 2 as a bonus feature film.

Any time that Lionsgate loses the rights to something it feels like a war has just been won. Free at last!

Who was the original distributor (or producer) for Alligator? Knowing this should help to determine who might license it. Although if it does get re-released it wouldn't feel right without the sequel being included, crappy or not.

Pumpkinhead (1).jpg My copy of this should be here Monday. I can't wait this is one of my all time favorite movies. Stan Winston did a great job as the director. Hopefully Scream will get all the sequels.

Brandon Chase & Robert S. Bremson appear to have been the primary producers for the film, since they're apparently the only credited producers named on the copyright filing.
